Entrepreneur's Club

Purpose - The coordination of knowledge and effort of two or more people, who work toward a definite purpose, in the spirit of harmony. The group is centered around people of various background and experience who come together to mutually assist each other in their pursuit of success. The idea is that the members of the Entrepreneurs Club each provide vital skills and knowled

ge that other members may lack. They bounce ideas of each other and offer help and advice so that they all may become successful. The concept had been practiced for a long time such as in military applications where a commander would have a team of generals who possessed particular skills. However, Henry Ford was one of the first publicized examples of it being applied directly to business. Members of Ford's mastermind group included the famous inventor Thomas Edison, who himself gained valuable insights from the group which he used to build his own success. A more modern example of a mastermind group in action was with Bill Gates and Microsoft. It's said that even today after all his success, Bill Gates still meets with his mastermind group. The club meets once a month at the Swan Terrence in Virginia Beach. Meetings take place based on facility availability and are usually the second Saturday of the month at 9:30am to 11am in the Hunt Room. Breakfast is available through the Swan Terrace Restaurant and is the responsibility of the individual member to cover the cost.
