They Will Surf Again Virginia Beach A sub program of Life Rolls On With adaptive equipment and dedicated volunteers, They Will Surf Again empowers people living with paralysis to ride a wave.

They Will Surf Again Virginia Beach (TWSA Virginia Beach)

They Will Surf Again Virginia Beach, a no-cost program underwritten by Life Rolls On and generous underwriters, is the flagship program of Life Rolls On. It's not all about the surfing, it's about showing that anything is possible! Individuals of all ages and abilities from around the country gather together for a day of surfing, inspirati

on and camaraderie. Some have not surfed since their injury, some have never surfed, some surf all the time despite their varying mobility. TWSA pairs roughly 7 volunteers with each surfer, for a day of excitement, joy, and best of all, surf! Safety precautions and experienced watermen (and women), along with lifeguards are always present. No prior surfing experience is necessary. Event Schedule can be found @ liferollson.org

SATURDAY AUGUST 9 | VIRGINIA BEACH

CANCELED
DUE TO HIGH WINDS, STRONG RIP CURRENTS AND
DANGEROUS OCEAN CONDITIONS

Hey LRO Ohana,

We are really bummed to share this — we've made the tough call to CANCEL Saturday's They Will Surf Again event in Virginia Beach. The surf is predicted to be too big, choppy and unruly from a large low pressure system and the conditions won't
be safe for our surfers or volunteers.

But even though we won't be hitting the waves, Life Rolls On is STILL about showing up, loving big, and celebrating the community we've built together. So we're pivoting and hosting a Friday night hangout — and we'd love to see you there.

Here's the plan:

Smartmouth Brewery
313 32nd St, Virginia Beach, VA 23451
(More parking available on 33rd St)

We'll have free food, cold beer, awesome new Life Rolls On merch for sale, and the best people around. Jesse will be hanging out by the merch area, so come say hi, meet new friends, and connect with the amazing crew that makes this all so special.

We know this isn't the weekend we had planned, but we're still going to celebrate Life — together.
