Before we know it, our calendars reflect everyone else’s priorities except our own.

The Power of No is about changing that.

Join us for a practical and engaging leadership workshop with Emer Walshe, business leader, strategist, and National President-Elect of JCI Ireland.

During this session, you’ll explore how to:

Nominations are now open for the 2027 Virginia Jaycees State Board! 💙💛

If you’ve been thinking about taking the next step in your Jaycee leadership journey, this is your opportunity.

Serving on the State Board is a chance to support chapters across Virginia, help strengthen our organization, develop your leadership skills, and play a role in shaping what comes next.

Open positions include:
President • Management Development VP • Individual Development VP • Community Development VP • Membership VP

Members may nominate themselves or another qualified member.

At the meeting in Virginia Beach this September! JCI USA 2026 Annual Meeting

Have you been thinking about taking a JCI official course? Annual Meeting is your chance! 💡

Led by Bobbie Jo Call and Michelle McGrann, JCI Facilitator creates a unique learning experience where participants can engage and influence their own learning through the exploration of progressive facilitation models.

The course will take place on Wednesday, September 9th & Thursday, September 10th, in-person, in Virginia Beach. Check out the link in the comments for registration details!

Last Saturday, I finally had the privilege of attending the Apprentice School Jaycees’ Skate Party, one of the many incredible events they put on for their community!

It was so much fun seeing the rink packed with families, members, and neighbors coming together. We even had the Mayor of Newport News stop by!

The Apprentice School Jaycees do such amazing work, and we are incredibly lucky to have them as part of the Virginia Jaycees. I loved getting to spend time with their members, meet more of the community they serve, and see firsthand the impact they continue to make.

I also learned something very important about myself that day: I absolutely do not know how to skate. 😂

Make sure you watch until the end to see me almost fall!!
