One of our amazing VGL supporters is representing “her people” all the way in Cyprus, proudly sporting her Vanguard Landing hat overlooking the Mediterranean!

It was 16 years ago that our Executive Director met with the then Mayor of Virginia Beach Will Sessoms and City Manager James Spore to discuss her idea of not another KIDS COVE playground but yet an Intentional Community designed for those with developmental differences but where anyone could live -……. 🎨 Something beautiful is taking shape at Vanguard Landing! 🌊🐚

Our residents have started an exciting new collaborative art project with our wonderful volunteer artist partner, Amanda Earl! Using colorful mosaic pieces, seashells, creativity, and teamwork, they are bringing a one-of-a-kind coastal creation to life.

We’re currently hiring PRN (as-needed) Direct Support Professionals at Vanguard Landing! (Hiring PT and FT too)

The PRN or PT role is PERFECT for:
• Moms with flexible availability
• Teachers on summer break
• Caregivers or CNAs
• People with a sibling or child with disabilities
• Compassionate people looking for meaningful work

Our PRN team members:
✔️ Choose shifts that work for THEIR schedule
✔️ Only need to work 1 shift/month to stay active
✔️ Receive full DSP training + orientation
✔️ Can stay PRN OR grow into a permanent role

At Vanguard Landing, we believe the best caregivers are often people with a natural heart for serving others. We’re looking for dependable, kind, energetic individuals who want to support amazing adults with disabilities while becoming part of something truly special.
