Daughters of Life Corporation

November 2009, the three founding members, Denise Britt, Janice Dildy, and Charlene Winley came together to discuss ways to supply the needs of individuals in crisis. December of 2009, they found a family in need, a single mother of three with limited means of providing for her family. The decision was made to assist this family. That was the moment the founders realized how effective and powerful

working collectively would be. January 2010, “Daughters of Life” was established. March 2010, the first membership drive was held, culminating with the induction of sixteen Daughter of Life members, called the DOLs. That same month the group learned of a woman with two children who left her home in Chicago due to domestic violence and relocated to Virginia. The DOLs decided this would be their first “Special Project.” The Daughter of Life provided home furnishings and an assortment of household items. April 2010, the group was given another opportunity to meet the needs of a family by donating food, gas, and a monetary gift. The Daughters of Life continues to fulfill their mission of aiding families and individuals in crisis, providing educational scholarships, and hosting workshops and seminars.
