Why Mighty Minis? ✨ Because we believe original art should feel approachable, for the artist and the collector.

The Mighty Minis brings emerging and established artists together through small-scale work, consistent pricing, and an invitation to experiment and explore. For collectors, it’s a wonderful place to begin an art collection or continue growing one.

Never exhibited before? Been showing for decades? We encourage artists at every stage of their creative journey to apply.

APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN! Mighty Minis Fall 2026 is a juried exhibition. All you need to apply is the administrative application fee, basic contact information, and examples of past or planned work.

Artist Notifications: Sunday, September 20, 2026
Artwork Delivery: November 12–14, 2026
Opening Reception: Saturday, November 21 | 6:30–9:30 p.m.

What a week we had at Little Storytellers Camp! 📚✨✏️

Creative storytelling is an art- all its own, and pairing the written word with illustration makes it even more special. Throughout the week, our young Artists ages 5-12 followed the same creative process at their own skill level: developing plots, building characters, exploring ideas through illustration, creating first draft, assembling working books, and finally- transforming their stories into a beautiful hand bound final edition.

We ended the week with a special exhibition and read-aloud for friends and family, celebrating each child as both an author and an illustrator!

Final Mini Market of the summer! 🎨🌽🥬🫛

Join us this Saturday, August 15 for a creative start to your weekend! Drop off your young artist (ages 4-12) from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. for a fun, guided art session while you stroll the Farmer’s Market, VB Flea, and grab brunch in the ViBe with a friend or solo. (a dream!)

Each week features a new artistic theme or material to keep little hands busy and big imaginations flowing. Spots are limited, don’t miss out on this easy Saturday rhythm!

PLEASE PACK YOUR CHILD A SNACK AND WATER BOTTLE.

$35 per child / per session.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the opening reception of Wish You Were Here, celebrating the extraordinary life and work of Molly Dee. It was a beautiful night filled with art, stories, and community.

A heartfelt thank you to Molly’s family for entrusting us with her remarkable body of work and allowing us to share her legacy with Virginia Beach. Gratitude to Waterman’s Spirits Waterman Spirits | VA Beach Distillery & Tasting Room for hosting a wonderful after-party and helping make the evening so special. We love celebrating ViBe District First Fridays alongside this incredible creative community! ViBe Creative District

We shared a beautiful summer of creativity, connection, and community at Chrysler Museum & Glass Studio ! 🎨✨

Our Director of Education, Monica Turley, had the honor of leading a therapeutic art experiences in July and August as part of the Chrysler Museum’s Mixtapes program. In this digital-free space, participants connected through creativity, exploring watercolor in observational painting and in creating heartfelt gratitude cards- for self or others.

We’re grateful to the Chrysler Museum for inviting The Creative Well Arts Foundation to be part of an experience that celebrates the power of art to inspire mindfulness, foster connection, and support well-being.

Thank you to every guest and member who created alongside us!

** The Chrysler Museum of Art Mixtape First Thursdays program is a free monthly community event series that transforms the museum into an interactive social and creative space. Wish You Were Here ✨ a legacy solo exhibition celebrating the life and work of iconic American artist Molly Dee at The Creative Well Arts Foundation

We’re thrilled to partner with Waterman Spirits Distillery Waterman Spirits | VA Beach Distillery & Tasting Room to debut the Molly Dee Martini, a beautiful cocktail inspired by Molly herself, featuring butterfly pea flower-infused Perfect Crush, fresh-squeezed lemon, blueberry syrup, a splash of club soda, and edible flowers.

Before there were the paintings, there was the artist, the mother, the wife, the grandmother, the great-grandmother—the heart of a family whose summers on Nantucket inspired a lifetime of painting.

This carousel offers a glimpse into Molly Dee’s life beyond the canvas through cherished family photographs, treasured memories, and the places that shaped her beloved coastal artwork. Experience her legacy through original paintings, museum-quality giclée prints, vintage posters, and personal pieces from her studio.

Wish You Were Here is on view August 5–30, with an Opening Reception on Friday, August 7 at 6 PM. We hope you’ll join us. 🤍
