Virginia Beach Police Department We are utterly heartbroken hearing the tragic news about Virginia Beach Police Officers Cameron Girvin and Christopher Reese over the weekend.

To VBPD, we are very thankful for the sacrifices that you make daily to keep our city safe. Please know we care deeply and grieve this immeasurable loss together with you. Although there is nothing that we can say to lessen the blow of this loss, please know that you and their families are in our thoughts and prayers.

🙌The 3rd annual Bridging The Gap Fest 2024 (BTG Fest -Bridge The Gap) was a huge success this year because of the togetherness from leaders/stakeholders of VB city desiring to create an environment that focuses on building and encouraging our communities.

We would like to thank Walmart Supercenter Virginia Beach - 1st Colonial Rd for the $2,000 grant awarded to our organization. The grant funded the needs for the community BBQ in Twin Canal Village on 6/29. Crossing the Bridge Foundation was established for and is dedicated to bridging community relationships.

A big thank you to our partners Christ Regeneration Church, Virginia Beach Police Department, & NOBLE Hampton Roads Virginia Chapter for joining us in the vision. Additionally, we would like to express our gratitude to Councilwoman Jennifer Rouse , Sheriff Rocky Holcomb, Virginia Beach Sheriff's Office, United In Him, and Twin Canal Village staff for coming out to support the efforts. The families in this community really enjoyed themselves and had an opportunity to talk to a few of their city leaders. This event was a BTG Fest precursor and we look forward to seeing everyone at the BTG Fest -Bridge The Gap on September 14th @ Mt.Trashmore. Building a healthy community starts with bridging healthy relationships!
