This year we continued with our scholarship at First Colonial High School and awarded 3 Seniors! Congratulations to the selected graduates, Emerson Kane, Jordan Baker and Nick Morlang!

Emerson played field hockey, basketball and soccer and is continuing her education at Virginia Wesleyan.

Jordan played volleyball and tennis and plans to be pre-med. She was ranked number 1 in her graduating class.

Nick played baseball and is continuing on at the University of Maryland.

We are also excited to get Summer started and send some children from the Boys & Girls Club to the baseball camp at Old Dominion University again this year.

Thank you to everyone who made it out to our annual golf tournament this past Friday! To all of our sponsors, volunteers, we couldn’t have done it without you!

It’s because of you all that we are able to continue the conversation of over medicating youth and young adults! We are able to spread our message so as many people as possible can be fully informed when making their mental health decisions. That is because of the funding we raise here with all of you! Thank you!

This week, Dr. Watson will be presenting the signatures at the PharmedOut conference – "Making Healthy People Sick: Invented Diseases and Overtreatment."

PharmedOut is a Georgetown University Medical Center project founded in 2006. The stated mission of the organization is to advance evidence-based prescribing and educate healthcare professionals about pharmaceutical marketing practices.

With the recent completion of Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters (CHKD) 14-story child psychiatric hospital and increasing its child psychiatrists from one to 19 and the CHKD website advertising clinical drug trials which are funded by the pharmaceutical industry; it has never been more important to protect our children.

Options for alternative care not using antipsychotic drugs needs to be part of what these medical institutions do!
Our friend Dr. Gretchen Watson launched a Petition to Protect Children.

If you agree we must stand up for vulnerable children, please click here to sign the Petition to Protect Children right away.

Thank you in advance for taking action!
