MSA team collected 100s of natural Christmas trees to support coastal rehabilitation:

1. Trees collect the wind-blown sand that helps build up the dunes.
2. Trees provide nutrients for beach grass growth thus creating stronger dunes.
3. Trees provide nesting and protection for coastal animals.

Christmas Tree-Cycling begins today! 🌲 Remember to drop off your bare, live-cut tree in our East Parking Lot (across General Booth Blvd. from the North Building) for Marine Stewards America to use to restore local sand dunes. They'll be collecting trees through January 9.

Happy New Year! As you take down your tree, consider recycling your natural Christmas tree to support coastal rehabilitation. It has 3 benefits:

1. The trees collect the wind-blown sand that helps build up the dunes.
2. The trees provide nutrients for beach grass growth thus creating stronger dunes.
3. The trees provide nesting and protection for coastal animals.

MSA is collaborating with to connect people to the marine environment and inspire a more sustainable future.
