Our Team Members ROCK! Congratulations Pam Clapp, Aquatic and Fitness Coordinator!

We salute Aquatic and Fitness Coordinator Pam Clapp who was recently recognized with the Westminster-Canterbury Distinguished Team Member Award. Exercise plays a critical role in the physical and mental health of our residents. Her leadership of the WC Fitness team was outstanding before COVID-19. But we all agree that she went "above and beyond" during the pandemic.

The pandemic challenged Pam and her team to find ways for our residents to stay physically fit when WC had to close down the fitness center and swimming pools for an extended period of time. Through innovative and out-of-the-box thinking, Pam developed programing to bring exercise classes to the residents through our in-house TV channel. When the fitness center was re-opened on a limited basis, she quickly developed a scheduling system that allowed fair and equitable access to all interested residents.

Pam has always been amazing instructor and a strong leader to her team, but during the pandemic when we needed her even more, she immediately stepped up and inspired those around her to do the same. She shifted her focus and volunteered to make sure our residents' needs were met, emotionally, physically, and socially. For several weeks, she showed up with a smile on her face to provide one-on-one support to the small group of individuals in our community who tested positive for the virus.

We could go on and on about Pam – her professionalism and innovative thinking as well as her passion and dedication to bringing joy and well-being to WC residents. Suffice to say, she is an inspiration to us all.

Congratulations Jason Ndirangu, Senior Accountant!

Congratulations to Jason Ndirangu (center) who was recognized with WC's Distinguished Team Member Award. As the Senior Accountant in our Finance Department, Jason is integral to the department serving its many internal clients. In the past year, he was instrumental in creating the forms and processes to help automate WC's marketing process. This automation has freed up time for the Finance and Marketing Departments, saved WC money and has made the selling processes easier for our sales consultants and their clients. According to CFO David Myers (right) and Controller Luis Estrada (left), Jason demonstrates our organization's values of respect, passion and professionalism each and everyday and is a role model for the members of the department.
