🏈✈️ CLMS Jets Football Concessions Volunteers Needed! ✈️🏈

Our next football game is coming up on Tuesday, September 29, as Corporate Landing Middle School takes on Bayside Middle School at Kellam High School, and we would love to have some of our amazing parents and families help us with concessions!

If you’re available to volunteer, please sign up here:

We also want to take a moment to give a HUGE thank you to all of our parents, students, volunteers, staff, and everyone who helped make Friday’s dance such an incredible turnout! 💙✈️

We know this past week wasn’t completely seamless. We had a few glitches in our ticketing system, including some missing information on online ticket purchases, as well as some challenges with permission slips. We truly appreciate everyone’s patience, kindness, and understanding while we worked through everything.

We learned a lot through the process, and we are already working on a better, more streamlined system going forward so future events can run even more smoothly.

Most importantly, we truly hope our students had an AMAZING time at the dance! Seeing them having fun made all of the hard work worth it.

Thank you again to our incredible CLMS community for showing up, volunteering, supporting our PTA, and always being willing to help our Jets! 💙✈️

Now, let’s get ready for some football! 🏈 Go Jets!

We also want to thank everyone for your patience and flexibility with the recent scheduling changes. Due to last weekend’s Oceana Air Show and an additional scheduling conflict at the school, we had to move our dance from last Friday to this Friday, September 25, as well as adjust our original ticket sales and wristband distribution dates.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience these changes may have caused and truly appreciate our Jet families rolling with us! 💙✈️

Your help makes events like this possible for our students, and we would love to have you join us!

Thank you, Jets families! 💙

🎨🌎 Calling All CLMS Student Artists — Reflections Contest 2026–2027! 🌎🎨

Corporate Landing Middle School PTA is excited to participate in this year’s National PTA Reflections Contest, with the theme:

✨ “What My Culture Means to Me” ✨

Culture can be found in so many parts of our lives — traditions, food, music, language, art, family memories, values, celebrations, communities, and even the everyday moments that help shape who we are.

Students are encouraged to think about questions like:

• What traditions, people, places, or memories help me understand who I am?
• What is something about my culture that makes me feel proud?
• How does my culture shape the way I see myself, my family, or my community?
• What do I wish others understood about my culture?
• What story do I want my artwork to tell?

Students will create an original work of art inspired by the theme and submit it along with an artist statement explaining the meaning behind their work.

🎭 Art Categories Include:
Dance Choreography • Film Production • Literature • Music Composition • Photography • Visual Arts

🏆 And yes — Reflections is a contest!

Entries begin at the school level, where local PTA winners are selected. Winning entries can then advance to the Virginia Beach Council PTA level, followed by Virginia PTA, and state-winning entries may ultimately advance to the National PTA Reflections Contest, competing alongside students from across the country.

📅 CLMS Submission Window:
October 1 through November 2026

Additional information about how and where students will submit their entries will be shared soon.

We cannot wait to see the creativity, stories, traditions, and experiences our Jets choose to share! ❤️✈️

📧 Questions?

What does your culture mean to you? Let your art tell the story.

📣 BACK-TO-SCHOOL DANCE UPDATE! 💃🕺

Due to a scheduling conflict with school activities, wristband distribution and cash sales will now take place during lunch on:

This replaces our originally scheduled Monday–Wednesday distribution dates.

👉 If you signed up to volunteer for Monday or Tuesday, please keep an eye out for an updated volunteer sign-up! We’ll be moving those volunteer opportunities to the new Wednesday–Friday schedule.

We know this is a last-minute change, and we truly appreciate everyone’s flexibility and willingness to help us make the dance happen! ❤️

Thank you to all of our amazing volunteers for rolling with the changes — we appreciate you more than you know! 🎉
