On the Supreme Court's TPS ruling and what it means for Haitian communities
On June 25, the Supreme Court ruled that the Trump administration can move forward with ending Temporary Protected Status for approximately 350,000 Haitians currently living and working in the United States. The ruling creates significant uncertainty about work authorization, deportation timelines, and what comes next, legally and politically.
We know many organizations in our community serve TPS holders directly, and that many of your staff, volunteers, and community members are personally affected. We are not immigration lawyers, and we won't pretend to have all the answers. What we can do is point you toward the organizations that do.
