A special moment from our GO day this past Saturday. Serving others isn't always physical work. Sometimes it is as simple as noticing the people around you and offering a smile and prayer.

"Being a slave of Jesus Christ is an active, not a passive venture. Slaves serve. They DO something. Sometimes we spend so much of our time and energy focusing on avoiding and eliminating the evil from our lives that we miss the opportunity to do good."

🌅 He Is Risen! The Glory of Resurrection Sunday

Today, the sorrow of the cross and the silence of the tomb are shattered by the greatest victory in history!

In Matthew 28:5-6 (NLT), the angel speaks to the women who came to the tomb: “Don’t be afraid! I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen.”

The Hope of the Resurrection:

The Empty Tomb: The stone was rolled away not to let Jesus out, but to let us look in and see that death could not hold Him.

The Commission: Jesus, alive and victorious, calls us to go and share this Good News. Because He lives, we have purpose, forgiveness, and an eternal home.

The Promise of His Presence: As He said in verse 20, “And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Today we celebrate the King of Kings who defeated the grave. The wait is over—the Light has returned, and our hope is made new! 🕊️✨🙌

Silent Saturday: The Quiet Between🕯️

After the chaos of the trial and the heartbreak of the cross, the world falls into a heavy, expectant silence. In Matthew 27:62-64, we see the religious leaders scrambling to secure the tomb, fearing the words Jesus had spoken.

“The next day, on the Sabbath, the leading priests and Pharisees went to see Pilate. They told him, ‘Sir, we remember what that deceiver once said while he was still alive: “After three days I will rise from the dead.”

Finding Meaning in the Stillness:

The Suspense of Faith: The disciples were hidden away, grieving and uncertain, yet they were closer to the miracle than they could have imagined.

The Guarded Tomb: Even the leaders of the day sensed that something unprecedented had happened. They tried to seal the tomb with stone and guard, unaware that they could not stop the power of God.

The Sacred Pause: This is a day for us to sit in the stillness. It is a reminder that even when things feel final, silent, or dark, God is working in ways we cannot yet see.

Today, we wait in hope. We know the story doesn't end in the grave. 🕊️✨

Good Friday: The Price of Love ✝️

Today, we stand in the solemn shadow of the Cross. In Matthew 27, we witness the heavy, heartbreaking, and ultimately world-changing reality of Jesus’ crucifixion.

From the trial before Pilate to the mocking of the soldiers, Jesus bore it all in silence and surrender. As the Scripture recounts, “Then Jesus shouted out again, and he released his spirit. At that moment the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom.” (Matthew 27:50-51)

Reflecting on the Sacrifice:

The Weight of Our Sin: Jesus endured the nails, the scorn, and the separation for our sake.

The Torn Curtain: The barrier that once kept humanity from the direct presence of God was destroyed. Because of His death, the way to the Father is open to us forever.

The Humility of the King: Even as He hung upon the cross, He was mocked as "King of the Jews"—never realizing that He was, in fact, the King of the Universe giving His life for His people.

Today is not just about the pain of the cross, but about the overwhelming depth of a love that refused to let us go. We wait in the quiet, looking toward the dawn of Easter Sunday. 🕊️💜

Maundy Thursday: The Table is Set🍞

A night of profound intimacy, sacrifice, and a new commandment.

In Matthew 26:17-29, we witness Jesus gathering his disciples for one Last Supper. Amidst the breaking of bread and the pouring of wine, He transformed a traditional meal into an eternal promise.

Why This Matters:

🔹The Humble Servant: Even knowing what lay ahead, Jesus chose to spend His final hours nourishing those He loved.

🔹A Gift of Forgiveness: Jesus explained the significance of the wine: “This is my blood, which confirms the covenant between God and his people. It is poured out as a sacrifice to forgive the sins of many.” (v. 28)

🔹A Future Hope: Even in the shadow of the cross, Jesus looked forward to a reunion, promising to drink the wine anew with us in His Father’s Kingdom.

🔹The Mandate (Maundy): We remember His command to love one another just as He has loved us—a love proved by the bread broken and the cup poured out.

🔹The Ultimate Sacrifice: The bread broken and the cup shared were the symbols of the body and blood He would soon give for us all.

As we move toward the shadows of Good Friday, let’s pause to give thanks for the Grace found at the table. 🕯️✨

🌑 Spy Wednesday

The day the shadows deepened as a different kind of deal was being struck in secret.

In Matthew 26:14–16, we read about the moment Judas Iscariot went to the chief priests and asked the haunting question: “What are you willing to give me if I deliver him over to you?”

The Price: Thirty pieces of silver.
The Act: A "spy" within the inner circle, looking for the right moment to betray Perfect Love.

It’s a sobering day that asks us to look at our own lives. How often do we "trade" our values or our relationship with God for things that never truly satisfy?

As we approach the darkness of Good Friday, let’s pray for hearts that stay loyal and feet that stay on the path of Grace.

Holy Tuesday: The Authority of Jesus ⚖️

On Holy Tuesday, the atmosphere in Jerusalem grew tense. As Jesus returned to the Temple to teach, the religious leaders confronted Him with a pointed question: "By what authority are you doing these things?" (Matthew 21:23-27).

Instead of a simple "yes" or "no," Jesus responded with a question of His own about John the Baptist, exposing the leaders' fear of the people and their own spiritual blindness. He didn't just defend His right to teach; He challenged those in power to look at the fruit of His ministry.

“Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things.”

Today reminds us that Jesus’ authority isn’t forced—it’s recognized by those who truly seek the truth. It’s a day to reflect on who or what holds authority over our own lives.
Are we following the traditions of men, or the heart of the Savior?
