Thank you to Harbor Freight for donating $300 to our fire department. These tools will aid us in quick and efficient repairs to our equipment. It’s donations like this that help us better equip ourselves to provide top notch coverage for our community.

Yesterday several members of the department participated in a water rescue training at tycoon lake. This training was a refresher for most but also there are several new members on our department and this was a great opportunity to get them in the water and learn some rescue techniques.

Come see us at the park this evening. We will be selling burgers and hotdogs raising funds to finish our station addition.

We will start serving food at 6:30 by the playground.

While we have completed the exterior portion of our station addition, we are still looking for donations to help finish this project. We are still needing to cover the cost of concrete, garage doors, electric wiring, air lines, etc.

Any and all donations will go directly to finishing the station addition. This is the first renovation made to our fire station in nearly 40 years.

If you, or someone you know would like to contribute to the growth of our fire station please come see us this Saturday, July 5th at the Thunder in the Valley starting at 6pm.

Saturday, June 28th, you will likely hear some explosions in the Vinton area. This is just our friends at War-X hosting their annual trilogy weekend. This group does an amazing job putting on a world-class obstacle course race right here in south eastern Ohio. On top of that, they place a huge emphasis on honoring and empowering veterans of the armed forces, police force, and fire service. If you are free, stop out and watch a little bit of the race and learn more about War-X and their amazing organization.

We cannot thank our Amish community enough for the hard work they gave us over the last 3 days. From start to Finnish they helped turn our dream into a reality. As of now we have a completed shell with doors to come soon, however we are all very excited to have this addition started and moving forward! Enjoy the transformation from start to finish.

Some of you may have noticed something a little different at our station on your way home this evening. Thanks to the wonderful Amish around our village we broke ground and set poles today for our building extension.

Please use caution when traveling on state Route 160 through Vinton today. We will be out having our annual boot drive raising money for the fire department. We are excited to announce that the funds from this year‘s boot drive will be used to build an addition on our fire department that we are starting on soon

It’s race day! Registration starts at 9:00am at the Vinton Park. The race starts at 10:00. Looks like we have avoided the rain so come out and run with us!
