Lions are an international network of 1.3 million men and women in 206 countries who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities around the world. Lions are primarily known for working to end preventable blindness. Every Lions Club is autonomous and participates in a vast variety of projects important to their communities. These projects range from cleaning up local parks to provi

ding vision screening for pre-school children. There are over 10,000 members in 385+ clubs throughout Iowa. The Vinton Lions Club has 90+ members and meets regularly every Wednesday at noon at the Vinton Pizza Ranch except for the fourth Wednesday of every month when the meeting is held at the Vinton Country Club.
