Good morning BCP followers and supporters.

After some in-depth and honest conversations, the board has made the decision to dissolve the non-profit status of BCP. We are a small group of volunteers and have reached our capacity as individuals and do not feel we are able to meet the needs to run a successful non-profit at this time. This means we will not be hosting a pride event this year. We will continue to have discussions of smaller events that we can host in the future.

We will continue to remain a community group and are here to provide support in the ways that we can. We intend to bring our presence to other events as we are able.

We remain dedicated to supporting the LGBTQIA+ community in Benton County and Iowa as a whole. This decision weighs heavily on our hearts and was not made lightly.

Please take time to care for yourselves in the current state of our world.

We’ve had a couple inquiries so I thought I’d announce it. We won’t have Tshirts for sale at this time. However there will be a t shirt sale in the near future and we will be taking contact information for any one interested.

We’re two days out from Pride fest!!! 11-4 at Celebration Park in Vinton. We’ll have food, Face painting and performances.
11am a book reading from the Vinton Public Library
1pm a performance by Dances with Scissors
2:30 Our very first Drag Show.
