This handsome young man was likely abandoned. He was rescued by my trapping helper Ashleigh in Scandia. He is very skinny, has a gimpy front leg, and possible URI. I ask why? He is a total sweetheart and doesn’t know a stranger. I have been calling him Pepe Le Pew.

Last night the plan was to trap Mark’s last 3 cats. Unfortunately, the cats didn’t get a copy of the plan. The last female was in heat. Tasty food in the trap was the last thing on their minds. Thankfully, Felix was hungry. But even at that, he wouldn’t go in a conventional trap. I had to break out the drop trap to get him. So 1 down, 2 to go 😸

Sugar is back from her spay surgery. She weighs a whopping 7 pounds and is about 2 years old. She is a lap cat and is ready for her forever home 😸

This pretty girl is Sugar and she was the fourth cat that went to the vet today for spay and shots. She looks big in the picture, but she is really quite a bit smaller.
Sugar has had a very rough life, and she’s not very old. She was abandoned in Salina, and brought into a caring young ladies house. This lady has house birds, and Sugar thought it would be fun to play with a bird. The bird survived, but Sugar would have been homeless again if not for my good friend and occasional volunteer Natalie Newt Elliott. Nat knew the lady in Salina and brought Sugar up to her house. Nat has her limit of house cats and asked if I could find Sugar a forever home. As you can see, Sugar is a verified lap cat 😸.
