Ever get to the point where you’re just exhausted? You’re so tired of doing stuff- mentally, emotionally, physically, that you just throw up your hands and say “I’m done”??
That’s a great sign you (or I... 🤷🏼♀️) need some good self care. And I’m not talking bubble baths and bingeing (or or or any other wonderful program on tv 😂😜), but I mean things like:
•setting boundaries for your time
•setting boundaries for how people treat you and clearly communicating what is it is not acceptable
•getting a pulse on your emotions and where they’re rooting from so you can take appropriate action to change what they’re prompting you to change (it’s not always what you think it is though, so this is where having a good sounding board, whether a friend or therapist, can help)
•taking breaks
•doing things you enjoy
•giving your body and it’s 37 trillion cells the movement and nourishment it needs
•mitigating
•connecting with people you care about
Practicing great is critical to good and shows that you recognize and take responsibility for your own needs.
But unfortunate our society often demoralizes taking care of your own mental, emotional, and physical needs. We put it on the back burner, convinced that it’s just fluff and a waste of time, rather than an . But that just leads to .*
Ever try cutting wood with a dull saw? Ya, I didn’t think so. Same concept here- as says, 🌳
So get in tune with yourself- see if you could benefit from a recharge and get to it.
*Did you know, by the way, that that there’s an international, peer reviewed journal dedicated entirely to ? If that doesn’t scream there’s an epidemic of self-care deficiency what would?!
