Well guys, as much as it pains us to say it, we fell short of the mark on signatures.

We are, however, very proud of what we accomplished. We certainly proved that the "majority" of citizens DID NOT want this approved plan, like the city suggested. We want to thank all of you who supported this referendum and didn't hesitate to stand up and speak out. We love this city and hope that it's citizens will continue to get involved and fight for what is right for the community and not for the developers and politicians.

The requirements made it an uphill climb from the beginning. As many know, we were required to gather almost 1800 signatures, when only 1500+/- actively participated in the previous municipal election.

I want to once again thank everybody who helped in this cause, and all the almost 1000 people who supported and signed this referendum!

Hi everyone! We are a little over a week until our signatures are due! If you would like to sign the referendum PM us your address and we will come to you! If you are willing to knock doors or let us sit in your driveway in your neighborhood to collect signatures please PM us. If you have a neighborhood text thread/groupme/ or any other form of neighborhood communication, please get the word out that that we are nearing the deadline. Every signature matters! And remember, all that signing the referendum means is that it will halt construction until the citizens can vote on the ballot in November.

Thanks everyone!

Clegg Farm Referendum:

Hi all, just a reminder that tonight we will be at Vineyard Elementary from 6-8. If you already know you want to sign the referendum, we will have a drive thru set up for you to just pull your car up and sign.

If you have questions we will also be in the library to discuss those.

Remember, all the referendum does is stall the proposed/approved building plan for Clegg Farms until it is placed on the ballot come November for the citizens to vote on. This is the only way we have to make our voices heard!

Please share this post in your neighborhood pages and get the word out.

**THEY ARE REQUIRING MORE SIGNATURES, THAN PEOPLE THAT VOTED IN VINEYARD IN THE LAST ELECTION. SO WE NEED EVERY SIGNATURE! YOUR SIGNATURE COUNTS!**

What could have been approved?

The City states in their statement that they “could” have approved 400 units. This is another bogus argument made up to justify the 300 units. They “could” have also approved 1 acre lots minimum, but they didn’t.

The City had the following options, in order:

• Keep it in the A-1 agricultural zone
• Rezone to RA-5 Zone – 5 acre lots
• Rezone to RE-20 – Minimum lot size of 40,000 sq ft, almost a full acre
• Rezone to R-1-15 – 15000 sq ft (or 1/3 acre) lots minimum.
• At most, they could have got 1.75 units an acre with a PD zone. That is around 160 units total.

All of those options were on the table, so for them to begin basing their approval on R-1-8 zone, then create a whole new zone HF District, and think we should be happy with it is disingenuous to say the least.

City states “Instead, the City Council approved a less dense planned area at 3.20 units per acre, with a clustered 55+ retirement community, at medium density, in exchange for amenities.”

Again, twice as many as they should have. The main amenities for the “cottages” and 55+ community are HOA only. And any development of any size would be subject to open space/trail requires if the City negotiated that as they should on all developments.
