Food has a remarkable way of carrying stories across generations.

That’s one of the reasons we love Villa Jerada, a family-owned company dedicated to sharing the flavors, traditions, and hospitality of Moroccan and Levantine cooking through thoughtfully crafted pantry staples. Like Olive Branch Fair Trade, their work is rooted in honoring cultural heritage and connecting people through meaningful, everyday experiences.

Whether you’re exploring a new recipe or rediscovering a favorite, these ingredients invite a deeper connection to the traditions and communities behind every meal.

A few drops can transform an entire recipe. 🌿

These beautifully aromatic rose and orange blossom waters come from the Maalouf family in Koura, Lebanon, where petals and blossoms are harvested seasonally and distilled with care using traditional methods.

Floral, delicate, and deeply rooted in Middle Eastern cooking and baking, they bring a little elegance to desserts, tea, cakes, and summer drinks alike.

Simple ingredients, timeless traditions.

These Haitian drapo are among the most striking pieces in the shop!

Meticulously hand-beaded and sequined over the course of weeks, each one draws from Haiti’s rich spiritual and artistic traditions rooted in West Africa. Figures like Agwe, the lord of the sea, twin mermaids, and Madonna and child appear in vibrant color and detail — every bead sewn by hand, one at a time.

Originally created for ceremonies and processions within Vodou tradition, drapo carry stories, symbols, ancestors, and presence. They are not only works of art, but expressions of history, spirituality, and cultural resilience.

We’re honored to share these extraordinary handmade pieces at Olive Branch Fair Trade.

From Palestine to Morocco and beyond, our shelves are filled with thoughtfully sourced foods that invite exploration and connection. 🌿

These dry cured Moroccan olives by are hand-harvested, sea salt cured, and finished with olive oil for a deep, savory flavor that’s wonderful in salads, tapenades, or enjoyed straight from the jar.

Alongside our spices, spreads, preserves, and olive oils, they’re part of the many culinary traditions we’re honored to share at Olive Branch Fair Trade.

A little longer than our usual videos — but worth slowing down for. 🌿📦

Linda is unboxing our latest shipment from .palestine and sharing a bit of the story behind the olive oils that inspired Olive Branch Fair Trade in the first place.

In this shipment: beautiful Palestinian olive oils, including the lemon olive oil that has long been one of Linda’s favorites. Unlike many flavored oils, Canaan presses the olives and fresh lemons together at the same time during harvest, creating a vibrant flavor that feels bright, fresh, and deeply connected to the land it comes from.

More than just an unboxing, this is a glimpse into the relationships, farming traditions, and care behind these products — and why they matter so much to us. 💛

Passed down by hand, carried forward with care ♥️

These embroideries are created by local artist Susie Fauteux, who learned the craft from her grandmother. Each piece holds a sense of continuity, connecting generations through something made slowly and thoughtfully. And through this work, it also extends outward — supporting children and families through .

100% of proceeds support the Middle Eastern Children’s Alliance. A small piece, with a story that reaches far beyond it.

A little jar of something bright and briny!

These Palestinian whole cucumbers are pickled in traditional brine until crisp and full of flavor — the kind that wakes up a plate instantly.

They’re the kind of thing you reach for without thinking… alongside a meal, tucked into a sandwich, or straight from the jar in the fridge.

From hive to jar, right here on the Island. 🍯

We’re grateful to carry honey from — a three-generation family apiary with hives placed across all six towns of Martha’s Vineyard. Each jar is labeled by where it was harvested, capturing the subtle shifts in landscape and season.

Extracted in small batches, their honey reflects the rhythm of the Island — something you can taste in every spoonful. A true local staple, made with care, hard work, and a deep respect for the bees.
