Introducing our Summer Staff Bio Series! First up: Ingrid Moore 🦪🌱

Ingrid is from Chilmark and is returning for her third summer with the Shellfish Group! She recently graduated from Yale University with a B.S. in Environmental Studies, where her senior thesis focused on monitoring oyster dermo disease in Martha’s Vineyard’s Great Ponds.

Some of Ingrid’s favorite things to do at MVSG are eelgrass restoration, sieving (re-sizing) shellfish babies, and starting new algae cultures.

When she’s not working at MVSG, you can find her gardening or baking something delicious.

We’re so happy to have you back, Ingrid! 💗

Thank you to everyone who helped us shell-ebrate at this year’s Bivalve Ball! From the silent auction and raw bar to chowder and tunes from Johnny Hoy & The Bluefish, it was an unforgettable night with friends, loved ones and family.
