The Resiliency & Affordability Program is supporting energy resilience through Tribal Housing in Aquinnah.

RAP provided a $44,800 zero-interest loan to support a project that includes 29 kW of solar PV and 54 kWh of battery storage for a new duplex apartment in Tribal Housing.

The combination of solar and battery storage will help reduce electricity costs while providing greater energy resilience for the residents who will call this housing home.
This is an important part of what community benefits can look like: using clean energy investments to strengthen housing, reduce energy costs, and build resilience for Island communities.

The RAP is helping turn offshore wind benefits into tangible investments across Martha’s Vineyard—including direct support for Tribal Housing in Aquinnah.

For Camp Jabberwocky, reliable electricity is about more than keeping the lights on.
Through the Resiliency & Affordability Program (RAP), $30,000 was awarded to help fund a 54 kWh battery energy storage system, providing backup power to the camp during an outage.

That added resilience helps Camp Jabberwocky continue providing a safe, supportive environment for campers, even when the Island experiences a power disruption.
This is what community resilience looks like: making sure the places that serve our community are prepared when they’re needed most.

The RAP is turning offshore wind benefits into tangible investments across Martha’s Vineyard—strengthening local organizations, supporting essential services, and building a more resilient Island.

The West Tisbury Library is getting a major investment in energy resilience. 📚⚡

Through the Resiliency & Affordability Program (RAP), $375,000 was awarded to support a project that includes 66 KW of solar and 170 kWh of battery storage, along with funding for an energy data logger to help optimize the storage system.

Together, these upgrades will help the library reduce energy costs, generate clean electricity, and maintain greater resilience during power outages.

Libraries are more than places to borrow books—they are community spaces people rely on. The West Tisbury library serves as the town’s heating and cooling shelters during extreme weather events.

Investing in their energy resilience helps strengthen the Island as a whole.
This is what community benefits look like: investing in the places that serve Martha’s Vineyard every day.

The Tisbury Senior Center is more than a gathering place—it’s an important community resource. RAP awarded $236,000 to support a resiliency project that includes 28 KW of solar and 58.2 kWh of battery storage.

Together, these upgrades will help reduce energy costs while helping the Senior Center remain operational during power outages, when the community may need it most. This is what community resilience looks like: investing in the places that serve our Island every day.
