A few people have been asking about this weekend and the weather, I can tell you once again the weather man is all over the place as 4 different weather apps have 4 different forecasts (Remember Epping last week was supposed to be a complete washout and they got all but 2 finals in) but the main thing I always look at is the HOURLY and Description, some places love to put 80% rain as the forecast but when you look at the hourly forecast that 80% isn't until 6pm. I can tell you Saturday looks great, Sunday might be a race against time as 3pm looks to be the worst of it, the Test session on Friday seems to move all around but is still a go from 1-5pm - one thing you need to know about MD, the weather is funky cause of the mountain ranges as proven last year when we watched rain move around the track.

I also did adjust the rotation just a little bit, as I know some are running two classes, no matter what you do the rotation is not going to please someone, but we tried our best to accommodate most of everyone because honestly, I won't know who's coming till I wake up Saturday Morning...lol

Important announcement for this weekend and next - we know Gas / Diesel is expensive right now and racers and picking and choosing where they are spending their hard earned money at, so as always the Mid Atlantic Super Series is trying to help you out!!

Those coming to Mason Dixon and planning to run MIR LODRS the following weekend you DON’T have to to drag your stuff home and then back down to MIR, they will be allowed to stack at MIR on Monday! I spoke with Rebecca the GM at MIR and they will have two lines open - one for those who want to drop their trailers and one for those staying with their trailer till the gates open on Wednesday.

Mark at D1 will have a detailed map out shortly, let’s all park accordingly, give space to those who need to get in and out, also don’t save 10 spots for friends and don’t drop your trailer in the line where people are staying causing a traffic jam.

After some thought and cruising around BJ’s tonight, I figured we’d try something a little simple for the first BBQ of the year - so bring a side or dessert and meet new friends! Food will be served at 6:30pm!

As we enter Race 1 & 2 of the 2026 season, this is just a quick reminder of some of the changes that we’ve made in the off-season to hopefully have a better and smoother event for the racers & staff!

- .90 is RANDOM PAIRS for Round 1 - Bye is chosen off closest to the index off the qualifying passes - Round 2 is a ladder with lane choice going to the higher qualified car.

- A clean-up run will be provided if you weren’t able to make any qualifying passes - so if you were broke, got there late, we will get you a run but please be suited and ready when we call you

- If there is an issue of any sort please find the rep for your class, if one of those reps are not in attendance, please reach out to one of the other class reps - this is a team and we help each other out.

- The gate fee for each race has gone up $10.00 so it is now $60 at the gate - REMEMBER MASON DIXON IS CASH ONLY!

- Make sure all proper safety equipment is on and used during any runs, if you are unsure refer to the NHRA rule book under your class - that means if a HANS device is required for you ET / Speed it must be worn, if you have to have 1 layer fire pants they need to be on, no jeans or sweatpants.

- Refunds
If you enter the track and are warming up the car and something breaks or you become ill and have paid you will get a 100% refund or a transfer of money to the next day / race. Once you light the beams and take the tree, no refunds will be issued

- Payouts begin at R3 - it is your responsibility to come pick up your cash at the trailer - we will not come find you, after a few event with it not being claimed it will go back into the series fund.

FINALLY!!! Race 1 & 2 on tap this weekend at Mason Dixon, we know it’s a long trip for some but we appreciate the support, so come on out and knock off the off season rust for some great competition to see who’s going to be the 2026 champion at the end of September at Maple Grove.

Remember Saturday Night at Mason Dixon is the first Racers BBQ of 2026 at 6:30pm! If there is racing still going on please come and help out if possible as we will be tied up running the event, remember we all need to pitch in and help out anyway possible, from setting up to warming up food, also please bring a side dish or dessert to the BBQ - the series will supply the main course!
