We, at Rural Development Corp., are overwhelmed with gratitude, especially this past week.

The outpouring of kindness, compassion, and teamwork we’ve witnessed has been nothing short of breathtaking. Every single person who has contributed, shown up, or linked arms with us has genuinely blessed our organization and the families we serve through the Cumberland Family Shelter and the Southern Regional Food Distribution Center.

We were honored to welcome New Jersey Secretary of Agriculture Ed Wengryn to our pantry turkey pick-up day on Nov. 20th! More than 80 pantries came out to receive their holiday allotments, filling the day with excitement, energy, and so many smiling faces. What a beautiful day of community and gratitude!

Seeing students step up to help distribute complete Thanksgiving meals — led by the incredible Ms. Barakat — truly reflects the heart of this community.

We were honored to collaborate with Salem through the Beyond the Bell program, alongside Alpha Gamma Pi Omega Chapter and Smicks Lumber, to ensure families have everything they need for a meaningful holiday.
