In February, The Discovery School campus welcomed the mobile exhibit, featuring WWII-era artifacts and an immersive experience inside the Cattle Car Exhibit. Upper elementary and middle school students had the incredible opportunity to hear firsthand accounts from Holocaust survivors Hedy and Nate, learning about their experiences and the powerful impact of propaganda. This exhibit serves as the kickoff for our 7th and 8th graders’ study of the World Wars in the Big History Project (BHP).

This May, The Cattle Car visited Albany on the While we were there, we attended the Association Of Jewish Legislators-NAJL. One participant noted "While we are fortunate to live in a time and place where we can never truly comprehend the unspeakable horror experienced by Jews and other targets of N**i Germany, this incredible exhibit provides a small glimpse into what it was like to have everything taken from you and sent to your probable death - no different from an animal to slaughter. I am a firm believer that we must fight hate through education, and the more we understand what actually happened, the better we will be able to ensure that it never happens again."

Thank you to everyone who attended this meaningful event.

As the school year comes to a close, so does our powerful journey across North America with the 2024/2025 Tour, a partnership between ShadowLight and Hate Ends Now. The Exhibit visited over 90 locations, from High Schools, University Campuses, and Community Spaces, bringing immersive Holocaust Education directly to students, educators and communities.

Over the course of this year, we were honoured to welcome more than 32,000 visitors to the exhibit. Through this moving experience, thousands were given the opportunity to engage with history in a deeply personal way, sparking critical conversations about the Holocaust, antisemitism and the importance of standing up against hatred in all forms we see today.

We are incredibly proud of the impact this tour has had. Together we've created spaces for reflection, education and empathy - reaffirming our mission to ensure that history is not forgotten.

Thank you to every school, campus and community that welcomed us this year. We can't wait to continue expanding our reach and connecting with even more young people around the world in the years to come.
