pictures taken at stand down homeless veteran outreach program in Louisville ky. We gave at mental health awareness ribbons, pennies from heaven take a prayer and buddy poppies from VFW10281.
One homeless veteran was crying he had no were to go but could share some prayers and gave us the 15 pennies he had in his pocket

yah i cried with him

very satisfying to put a smile on some faces!

The Coucil is honoring Louisville VA Hospital Ward 7N with awards 1 Oct in recogniton and great appriciation of all their efforts to help the finest veterans in the nation as they begin their recovery

Its time for the donation drive for the Phycriatric Unit at the VA. These are are most suffering heores.
Donations due by 1 Nov 2019

Item they can have
Coloring books
puzzle books
crayons
markers
socks
underwear
t shirts
blankets
puzzles
sweat suits no draw strings
no staples

As an alumni of 7 N i can say i was at my lowest when i was an inpatient. These donations will put a smile on our most helpless veterans and give them hope knowing people care.
If you would like a thank you letter from the VA include inventory with total value of donation and contact information.

The POW/MIA Falg Guard had its last ceremony for the year. sunset flag retirement ceremony for MIA PFC Hall of covered ngton ky. The flag went to the Wall this spring with Run for the Wall, flew at the Sun Dial in Frankfort and flew at several VSOs over the summer. The flag will be presented to PFC Hall’s family next year.American Legion 113 hosted the event.

On Oct 2nd we will be participating in Louisvilles stand down. we will be giving out mental illness awareness ribbons, buddie poppies and pennies from heaven so they can take a prayer. Its not much but we hope to put a smile on their faces and let them know all veterans support them.

We are doing little things for our hosptialized veternas who use VA mental health services.We provide stamped envelopes and paper, newsletters and menatl health awareness ribbons which they get upon release. The nurses say it is putting a smile on the faces of our sick patriots. Please donate similiar items to your local VA hosptial.Truely lil things mean alot.As an alumni of the VA phyc unit i can tell you they are at the lowest point in their lives and could use a smile. Thank you for caring.
