GOOD MEWS MONDAY!!!

Congrats to our three kitties and one pup that went home last week! Mikey, Sophie, Carl, Nori we are so happy for you and thankful that your forever family picked YOU!

Mikey and his siblings were found as stray kittens and got lucky landing in one of our amazing foster homes! He spent some time at PetSmart, making kitty friends and showing off for employees, customers and volunteers! When his family came to meet the kittens, he took the opportunity to really show off his charming and fun purrsonality! It worked and he has a loving family who are as excited for him as he is for them!

Sophie came to ARC when her elderly humans were unable to care for her. Once she settled in at ARC, she loved having the opportunity to run in our dog yards, go for walks and play with toys! However, she clearly missed having a family… It didn’t take long for her people to see her on Petfinder. They came and met her and it was love! They couldn’t take her home right away, but while they got things ready for her, she looked forward to their weekly visits! Then the day came and she could barely contain herself, and neither could they!

Carl was found as a stray kitten and was taken into our foster program. When he was ready for adoption, he went to PetSmart where he met his friend Mikey and other kitties! He loved to play with and snuggle with them, making it difficult for his family to decide on who they wanted to adopt… They finally decided that Carl would be the purrfect addition to the family, bringing his playful and loving purrsonality to their home!

Nori came to ARC after she suffered a life-threatening injury, a pr*****ed re**um. Her condition was caused by chronic diarrhea, brought on by parasites. She came to us missing most of her hair, just under six pounds and very sick. After two surgeries (to the tune of $4,000!) and lots of recovery time in a foster home, she started feeling much better! Her hair is grown back, she is up to a healthy 10 pounds, and is playful and lovable! Her new family was specifically looking for a Bengal cat and stumbled onto her Petfinder profile. We think this is a match made in heaven and she will have all her needs met, giving her a long and happy life!

Pepper (still) here... I am monitoring the data points of ARC's social media and I am unimpressed with the engagement... and how in the world has NO ONE inquired about adopting ME?! I AM THE CUTEST, RIGHT??? Anywho... I have officially taken my foster mom hostage through snuggling by force. She is putty in my paws, but she will have to p*e soon... her future is in your hands... the clock continues to tick...

Pepper here, I have taken control of the ARC social media. My demands, which are listed below, must be met before I relinquish my hold over this platform.

My demands are:
1. More wet food. Only twice a day??? What are you barbarians?

2. More treats. Treats are delicious, but not a suitable replacement for wet food... Yes, I notice.

3. Snuggles should NOT be interrupted. I don't care if you have to p*e, eat or go to work. I am comfortable, that's all that matters.

4. I know it's your toes under the covers. I will attack them anyways. Your resistance only makes it more fun.

5. I don't care if there are others in the home. I require ALL the attention. ALL the time... Unless I don't want it... You'll know.

6. My last and most important demand is that I be on Good Mews Monday. I'm ready for my own family, especially if they will let me have my own social media account and help me post pictures of me snuggling, playing, enjoying delicious snacks, and all my silly antics!

The clock is ticking...

He is a cuddle bug, snuggler, lap warmer, purring pillow... If snuggling were an Olympic sport, Dutch would be going for the GOLD 🥇

GOOD MEWS MONDAY!!!

Congrats to our three kitties and one pup that went home last week! Tee, Officer Kyle, Tipsy and Willow we are so happy for you and thankful that your forever family picked YOU!

Tee and her siblings, Putter and Wedge, were found as stray kittens on a golf course, in case it wasn't apparent by their cute names! They got to grow up in a loving foster home and Tee didn't waste any time finding her forever home! She turned on the charm during a meet and greet, and her family couldn’t resist her! She gets to share her humans with a kitty brother about her own age and she is loving her new home!

Officer Kyle came from the Radcliff hoarding situation, and was named after the amazing police officer who called in help for these kitties! Officer Kyle was one of the original 12 kitties that ARC rescued and immediately showed us how sweet and loving he was... not to mention handsome! He met his family at PetSmart and he knew exactly what to do! He is going to be absolutely loved and adored!

Tipsy was abandoned by her family and left to fend for herself outside. Luckily, a kind neighbor took care of her until they could find a safe place for her to go. When we got her, she was scared, but still so lovable. As she became comfortable at ARC, her purrsonality blossomed and she quickly became a staff and volunteer favorite! She met her family at PetSmart and it was love at first sight! She is going to love being the center of attention and having her very own loving family!

Sam Elliott was also rescued from the Radcliff hoarding situation. He earned his name during intake when we saw his face and someone commented that he looked just like the actor Sam Elliott! He was on the shy side in the beginning, but as he watched his roommates meet their families and get adopted, he started to catch on! He got to meet his family after they saw him on Petfinder, and he sealed the deal during their meet and greet!

Willow met her family at an adoption event at PetSmart. Her mom was looking for a furry companion for their current dog and the family! Willow and her dog brother spend some time together and they did well. Over the course of several trips to the park together, they got more familiar with each other and Willow fell in love with her human brother! When it was time to go home, Willow did well, even though she had a little learning to do! Now, she and her dog brother are great friends, they play, walk and hang out together. Her true love is still her human brother and they get to spend lots of time playing and snuggling!

What a year!!

When the cat distribution system finds you! 🧡 What's your gotcha stories?!
