***Meet Your Member Monday***

Amanda Young - Firefighter

Amanda joined the Hampton Lakes Volunteer Fire Company (HLVFC) as a Junior Firefighter in 2002, following in the footsteps of her father, Past Fire Chief and Life Member Keith Harrison Sr., and her brother, Firefighter Keith Harrison Jr.

Amanda would go on to become a certified firefighter and an active member of the HLVFC. She holds certifications in Firefighter I, Hazardous Materials Awareness, Hazardous Materials Operations, Hazardous Materials Incident Command, Incident Management Level II, Vehicle Extrication, and Water/Ice Rescue. She is also a certified Emergency Medical Responder (EMR).

Amanda has also previously served the Vincent Fire Company for several years before returning to Station 172.

Community service runs deep in Amanda’s family roots. Her father, Keith Sr., a Life Member and Past Fire Chief of the HLVFC; her brother a previous member of Station 172 before purchasing a home in the Village and joining Station 171 where he would eventually serve as Deputy Chief; her mother, Eileen, dedicated many years to serving as a member of the former Hampton Lakes Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, a support organization of the fire company; and Amanda’s husband, Rob, a life member who currently serves as a Lieutenant of the fire company that had previously served as Fire Chief for four years.

Our close-knit community of Hampton Lakes has been blessed with some of the most dedicated, family-oriented volunteers, and Amanda and her family are no exception.

Please join us in thanking Firefighter Amanda Young for her dedicated service and commitment to the Hampton Lakes and Southampton communities over the past 24 years!

***FLASHBACK FRIDAY***

Life Member Thomas Heller

Tom, a lifelong resident of the Hampton Lakes development, joined the Hampton Lakes Volunteer Fire Company in 1978. Tom has served in many roles within the fire company over the course of nearly five decades and has been a pillar of our small, close-knit community all these years.

In addition to his lifelong commitment to the fire company, Tom is a life member of the Hampton Lakes Emergency Squad, where he has also served with the same level of pride, dedication, and commitment for nearly 50 years!

In a small community fire company, members come and go. That’s simply a part of life. But every once in a while, someone comes along whose impact becomes a permanent part of the organization’s history. Someone whose dedication leaves a footprint that remains long after they hang up their helmet for the final time.

Tom is one of those people. Tom is also someone who knows the deep history of the fire company and emergency squad here in the Hampton Lakes Community and is officially unofficially the historian of the fire company.

Tom, while you may not be an active presence in the firehouse today, please know that your service and dedication have never gone unnoticed. You will always be a part of the HLVFC family, and the legacy you have built over nearly five decades will continue to live on for generations of firefighters who follow in your footsteps.

Today, Hampton Lakes Volunteer Fire Company honors and thanks all the brave men and women who answer the call when others need help. From firefighters and EMTs to police officers, dispatchers, and all emergency personnel, we are grateful for your courage, dedication, and selfless service to our communities.

Assistant Chief 17202, Rescue-Engine 1723, Tender-Engine 1726 and Special Services 1729 are all at Evergreen Dairy Bar for their annual Halloween Trunk-or-Treat. Come stop by and meet your HLVFC volunteers and grab some candy.

You can also check out the 2026 Polaris RZR that is being raffled off to by the fire company to fund the HLVFC daytime stipend program for 2027

🚒 HELP US KEEP OUR FIRE APPARATUS STAFFED! 🚒

Did you know that Hampton Lakes Fire Company’s firehouse is generally staffed by firefighters Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., thanks to a Volunteer Recruitment and Retention Grant that the fire company applied for and received from FEMA in 2023?

Unfortunately, this grant is scheduled to end in 2027, and Southampton Township has stated that at this time they are not in a position to financially fund this program to continue it. Without an alternative funding source, the Township would lose its only daytime-staffed fire apparatus.

Recognizing the importance of maintaining this critical service, the members of Hampton Lakes Fire Company have decided to take the necessary steps to keep our firefighter stipend program going. This program has helped provide Hampton Lakes and Southampton Township with a staffed fire apparatus for the past four years. But we need YOUR help!

All proceeds from this raffle will go directly toward sustaining our firefighter stipend program while we work to secure a new grant for fiscal year 2028.

🚒 Working House Fire – Woodland Township

Tanker-Engine 1726, Special Services 1729 and Chief 1720 are responding to the 4200 block of Pemberton Avenue in Woodland Township for a working house fire.

Numerous fire agencies from the surrounding area are also responding to assist.

This is a serious incident. Please avoid the area to allow emergency responders to safely and effectively mitigate the scene.

***MEET YOUR MEMBER MONDAY***

Brain Naulty - Firefighter

Brian joined the Hampton Lakes Volunteer Fire Company (HLVFC) in 2018 after moving to Leisuretowne from Eastampton, where he was an active member of Eastampton Fire Rescue. During his time there, he achieved the rank of Chief, a position he held for several years. Brian also previously served as a firefighter with the Willingboro Fire Department and the Hainesport Volunteer Fire Company.

Since joining the HLVFC, Brian’s value to the department has been quickly recognized. He is someone the company can count on to step up and help with virtually any need that arises. Brian is a certified apparatus operator for the Engine, Rescue-Engine, Tender-Engine and Special Services units. In addition to being a New Jersey state-certified firefighter, he is also a New Jersey-certified EMT.

Brian’s certifications and training include Hazardous Materials Technician, Incident Management Level III, Vehicle Extrication Technician, and Swiftwater/Floodwater Technician/Instructor. He also brings extensive training and experience in fire tactics and organizational leadership.

The Naulty family’s commitment to helping others extends beyond Brian. His son, Joseph, is also a firefighter/EMT with the Hampton Lakes Fire Company and the Hampton Lakes Emergency Squad.

Please join us in recognizing Brian and the entire Naulty family for their dedication, service, and commitment to the Hampton Lakes Volunteer Fire Company and the Southampton Township community. Their continued willingness to serve others makes a meaningful difference in the lives of those around them.
