Thank you, thank you, thank you to all who attended, all who helped us pull things together, and all who so generously donated to our fundraiser! It was a great success for our little charity!

We’ll see you all again in a couple of years. Maybe we’ll put up some surveys on preferred time of year next time. 🙂

Hey, everybody! We’re starting to put together plans for a fundraiser this year. We’re going with what works - a basic basket auction. We will have at least one bartop arcade machine as one of the prizes!!

We were thinking of using Prospector’s as our venue again, but I’m looking for some thoughts from you all on which package we go with. We can do an appetizer buffet that’s about $30 per person that includes chicken fingers, potato skins, mozzarella sticks and wings. The other option is a full buffet for $42 per person that includes Caesar salad, chicken Marsala, fried grouper, rolls, fruit &cheese, chicken fingers, green beans almondine, roasted potatoes and stuffed shells. Soft drinks and coffee are included with both. At these prices, the fund makes $0 on the door, it’s a direct pass-through.

If we call the appetizer buffet option 1 and the full buffet option 2, which would you pick? Should we stick with the thought process that the fund makes its money on the baskets, not the door?

Having a hard time getting in gear to get the fundraiser setup. This being the 10th year since we lost Sam, my get-up-and-go is kind of gone. Will keep you all posted but we may end up postponing again.

We’re unable to finalize an arrangement with the venue where we were planning to have the fundraiser, and we no longer have enough time to put it together before the end of March. I’m going to alter the date to September, we absolutely will find a venue and this will happen. Sorry this has been a moving target, folks.

Sorry folks, we’re punting 80s night to next year, going to try for March. We appreciate your patience, trying to figure out some stuff post-pandemic. It will happen, and it will be a blast.

Thanks to the support of you generous donors across the multiple fundraisers (many started by equally generous friends and family right here on Facebook), the fund was able to assist Seneca’s art program with the purchase of a “matte cutter.” To show their appreciation they created a plaque in honor of Sam. Your help is bringing new opportunity to kids to participate in after-school activities, giving them access to updated equipment, assisting them with scholarships at graduation, and on top of all that helping to keep Sam’s memory alive. Thank you all for everything you do!
