Time sure is flying by. Next month it will be four years since Jilly passed. Yesterday we went up to the cemetery and left her some glittery flowers that we knew she would love.
Our boys have finished up basketball and now we are moving right into NFL flag football. These kids sure do know how to keep us busy. Kayden is growing up. It’s hard to believe Jillys baby boy will be 5 this year.
This weekend the boys are cashing in on a Christmas gift and we are heading to Columbus. We have OSU hockey today and tomorrow we have OSU basketball. Go Bucks!
I had surgery in January and it’s felt like a long recovery even though it was only 5 weeks ago. Mikey and the boys have been taking great care of me. I am crossing my fingers that I get to return to work and Clinical’s in 2 weeks. I’m in my final semester of nursing school. It is hard to believe it’s already been two years. Graduation is right around the corner. Time has flown by.
Mikey’s been busy with work and helping with the boys sports teams. He is going to help coach NFL flag. He is loving being a resource officer at the boys school. He is making a big difference in so many of the students lives.
Due to our busy lives and trying to enjoy the boys, we did take a step back from the foundation. We scaled back our fundraising and our purpose a little. We decided to focus on the things Jilly was passionate about and what can make the biggest difference in her memory. We are continuing the scholarship in memory of Jilly. We will also be doing the RMH birthday drive in her memory. We started this when she was still with us and we want to continue this on in her memory. We also did a toy drive at Christmas when she was still alive so that is something else we may continue. Helping the families at the RMH and the hospital will always be important to our family. As for fundraising we will be doing the bare minimum to meet our needs. We will probably be selling our Easter eggs and maybe a little fundraiser here and there, but for now we will not be doing our bingos or other larger events. We appreciate everyone’s continued support over the years. It has meant the world to our family.
Enjoy photos from our “vacation” at Thanksgiving. We decided to surprise the boys with tickets to watch the Dolphins and the Packers play. Bryson supports the dolphins in Jillys memory and we are all packers fans. This was the perfect game. We all had a wonderful time even though it was freezing.
We hope everyone has been well and is having a wonderful new year. One of my goals this year is try to post more. I’m terrible at it. I don’t even use my personal fb that much.
Happy New Year!
Love,
Jillys family
