Three years ago was one of the worst days of my life. The day of Mindy's accident. However, it was also the start of something amazing. I watched God work in miraculous ways! The way he brought family, friends and strangers together to pray for and support Mindy. The doctors, nurses, OT, PT and the rest of the staff at Children's were amazing. They worked so hard to help Mindy heal and get back to the things she loves. I was so blown away and ultimately reminded that prayer works and God is still performing miracles!

Dennis and I now live nextdoor to Mindy, a full 5 years ahead of schedule. I told her, she could have just asked...lol. God was totally present in our move as well. That's is a story for another day.

Thank you to everyone that showed up for Mindy.

Good evening team 🐝 MindyStrong, Renata here.

Sorry for the gap. Our girl is doing AMAZING!!! She has been driving, taking herself to therapy, doctors appointments and to the extension office.

A couple of weeks ago Rhi brought Charlie and Tucker home. This has been so wonderful for Mindy. Her fur babies are home.

Mindy is still healing. Most of her wounds are completely healed. She is looking at getting surgery on her right pinkey as it is stuck in a bent position. Therapies are going well and her face release has been so beneficial.

Behind the scenes Dusty Bender, Kenneth Priest and Ed Guilliams built a dog run. This is a huge blessing. It's right next to the house and Mindy can let the dogs out without having to physically take them outside.

Dusty Bender, Ed Guilliams and Neal Barton have been mowing since the accident and it has been so appreciated!

The Master Gardeners have been feeding Mindy since she has been home. Let me say that I have been privy to some of the goodness. Y'all are awesome cooks as well as gardeners.

We continue to thank you for all of your prayers, cards, donations. So many have been a huge part of this journey. I will continue to keep you updated through the end of the year. We will make a decision after that.

Good evening team 🐝 MindyStrong, Renata here.

The training wheels are off and our girl is driving! This is such a huge achievement. This means she can get targeted therapy, and she no longer has to wait for the home therapist, which only came once a week.
For the next month she will have PT, OT and facial release three times a week.

Mindy continues to work on her endurance. She and Batti have been walking a couple of days a week. Each time she is able to go a bit farther. She is using her cane a majority of the time. You are not going to find any moss growing on our girl.

Mindy's nerves continue to come on line. They will be active for a few minutes or longer and then turn off again. As you can imagine this is not always the most comfortable feeling. Heat seems to be a trigger. She continues to work through this as she knows it's all part of the process.

I continue to be amazed by Mindy's faith, determination, strength and humor.

Mindy is so appreciative of all of the meals, calls, texts, visits and prayers. You are a huge blessing!

Good evening team 🐝 MindyStrong, Renata here.

Mindy wanted you to know, she read all of the cards that you sent. They had been read to her at the hospital but she didn't remember. She said that it was an emotional two days. She thanks you for your love, support and encouragement.

Our girl continues to amaze me daily! She still tires after a couple of hours of moderate activity, but is getting stronger.

Her OT came to the house on Monday and measured Mindy's progress. Her wrists and fingers have more bend in them. They are not as stiff and tight as they were. Her speech therapist also came on Monday. She spends a lot of time massaging the right side of her face. Especially her mouth, lips and cheek. This is to break up the scar tissue to prevent pulling.

Mindy has been marking things off her check list. Neal and Lori took her truck to get the windows tinted. With her new skin, it is very important to keep it protected. We returned some very over due library books, no late charges were incurred. She also purchased a riding lawnmower, but she is not using it yet.

We did a lot of running around over the holiday weekend. We celebrated Batti's 19th birthday on the 4th of July. Mindy made Batti birthday eggs for breakfast, and she shared with Finn. She made waffles for Dennis and I, she makes the best!

Good evening team 🐝 MindyStrong, Renata here.

Our girl is doing so good. She has been pushing herself each day. Today she did some Master Gardner work today. She said she felt really good, but crashed hard when she got home.

She and Batti have been taking walks in the yard. She is very stable with her walker and is enjoying the fresh air.

She said you won't catch her out in the evenings as she doesn't want mosquito bites on her scars. Can't say I blame her for that.

She had OT yesterday and speech today. She said her face was really tight, but was ready to slide off once speech therapy was done with her.

Her nerves are starting to come back on line. This painful and itchy. Sometimes it is very painful and very itchy. Please pray that Mindy is able to find relief. The pain varies from day to day and usually happens more at night.

Dennis, Finn and I are headed up for the long weekend. We are excited to be able to stay for several days.

Our girl continues to show us all that she is an overcommer!
She continues to get stronger each and everyday. She is working hard to build up her endurance. She still tires more easily then she would like.

She still had a couple of areas that were not completely healed when she came home from rehab, but they are doing well. They are almost completely healed.

Joyce came by this week and worked on Mindy's hives. Last week she was able to harvest and process honey. Mindy wants to take several jars to her nurses at ACH.

Thank you to eCh and everyone one of you who has reached out to check on Mindy. Your calls, messages and visits mean so much to her.

Good evening team 🐝 MindyStrong, Renata here.

Our girl has had a good weekend. While she didn't get her shower on Thursday, she did get one today. She said she liked it and may take one again sometime 😉

She is so greatfull for the meals that have been provided. She was able to share a meal with a friend and had a wonderful time.

Mindy's fish have made it home. They have been hanging out with her friend Tracy. Tracy and her husband were able to move her fish tank twice without any loss of fin. 🐠

She is still making such good progress with walking. Myra bought a cane for Mindy. She has been using her wheelchair at night, her walker to go outside on the deck and do laundry and her cane in the house. The cane is great because she can carry things.

Good evening team 🐝 MindyStrong, Renata here.

Our girl is still doing great. She had an appointment today at Arkansas Children's. On of her main OT ladies made sure to come by and see her. She was so happy to see hiw well Mindy is doing.

They tried on her compression suit, it's still not quit right. There were two people helping her to get on the bottoms. Mindy was like "how am I going to get these on by myself?"...lol. so they made that pants into "bike" shorts and then she will have lower leg compression garments. It's much like a super hero suit. There will be several prototypes before they get it right. They should hire Edna from The Incredibles!!

One of the best things that happened today is she was releases to take showers. She is very excited about that!

Our girl is still crushing it! She used her walker for her appointments today instead of her wheelchair. I am so incredibly proud and awed by her resilience and strength!

Good evening team 🐝 MindyStrong, Renata here.

Mindy has had a great couple of days. Mondays she has speech therapy and Tuesdays she has OT. Yesterday she did 11 laps around the living room with her walker and today she did 12. She wants to add 1 lap each day.

Today during OT they worked on several things. She had to show that she is able to do her laundry.

Our girl has really come a long way. She is sweeping her floors multiple times a day and mopping small areas. She is gaining strength and independence daily.

So many prayers have been answered. I know God isn't finished with our girl yet!

1 John 5:14-15

"And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him."

Good evening team 🐝 MindyStrong, Renata here.

I made it home about an hour ago. Let me tell you this was one of the best weekends ever!

Mindy and I experienced a rain delay and power outage but didn't let it stop us. We went to Sam's, Target and Sushi.

Let me tell you. We should have warned the general population we were on the move. I have never driven an electric wheelchair before, they take a minute or two to get use to.

Mindy did fantastic, she used the electric wheelchair at both Sam's and Target. However, she used her walker at dinner. She did so fantastic. She walked so far and still had energy to spare.

She is working really hard on therapy. Friday and Saturday she did laps around her living room with her walker. She cooked me a hearty breakfast this morning of scrambled eggs on toast with avocado.

It was so hard to leave today, but I know it won't be long until I'm back.

Mindy and I are planning on flying the coop today. The first order of business was to figure out how to fold and unfold the wheelchair. Lots of laughter and a Google search later, we are set!

No set plans, but Sushi and a movie may be on the agenda. Watch out world here we come 🤣.

Our girl has had a good couple of days. She is still waiting for PT to assess her.
Myra has been staying with her and Lori took her to an appointment today.

She is using her walker more and she is gaining endurance and strength.
