The giving season is officially underway for The Acosta Foundation. Chris and I were happy to attend the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation season kick-off meeting in Lafayette.

We'll be giving you more details on Tri-Parish Toys for Tots campaign in the next few days. We are looking forward making Christmas merry and bright for kids in our community!

Whew!😅 It was a busy day for The Acosta Foundation, but Sunday was definitely Fun Day!
We spread out our resources with Connie Lamke and Cassidy P. Marks riding with our Acosta Princesses in the annual Louisiana Cotton Festival parade in Ville Platte. You'll even spot Louisiana Cotton Queen LXXI (71) Chloe Guilbeau in one of our pictures!
A few miles away at the Chauncy Pitre Multi-Purpose Arena, Chris Lamke and Gwen Fontenot operated the Acosta concession stand at the Evangeline Riding Club's monthly riding event.

If you have garland and Christmas picks or gold, silver, and red ornaments that you don't use and you want to get rid of it, please consider giving it new life at the Acosta Foundation. Details coming soon on our Christmas Cheer project. For those who are new to our organization, Christmas Cheer is our annual event where we work hand-in-hand with senior independent living apartments to bring the joy of Christmas to senior citizens in Evangeline Parish. This year, we have increased our coverage to include Savoy Heights in Mamou, in addition to Chateau des Amis, Village de Memoire, and Parkview Village Senior Apartments in Ville Platte giving us approximately 240 residents!
We'll be putting out our official call to adopt our elderly residents soon! Make sure The Acosta Foundation page is on your favorites list. (Enjoy some photos from last year's project.)

A beautiful busy weekend ahead!We hope you can join us for some of this fun!

🎡 This evening and tomorrow the Acosta Foundation will be at the Cotton Festival Vendors Market. Pass by and say hi! (The Dragon’s KAVE will be set up also, right next to us! )

👑 Sunday reminder for all of the Princesses who attended the Queen and Princess tea. Meet at The aswell House for 11:30 and don’t forget your tiaras! Dress is casual (comfortable).

🐴 Sunday- We will also be handling concessions at The Evangeline Riding Club event at Chauncey Pitre barn. They start at 1 so come visit!

Mark your calendars! Evangeline Christmas is coming up on November 19, 20, and 21. The Acosta Foundation will be hosting area vendors on Saturday, November 21 from 8:00am - 3:00pm inside of The Aswell House. We'll be signing up vendors this week.

As always, we'll have surprises for our visitors. Free mimosas are making a return. Keep checking our page for details.
