Praying for our Haitian brothers and sisters especially with the gangs still out of control and gas prices soaring.

“South Florida lawmakers demonstrated that bipartisanship still exists in Congress this week when local Republicans and Democrats cast crucial votes in the House on a bill that would extend Temporary Protected Status, or TPS, to hundreds of thousands of Haitian immigrants.”

The final vote was 224-204 for H.R. 1689, and included the support of U.S. Rep. María Elvira Salazar, U.S. Rep. Carlos Gimenez and U.S. Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart — all Republicans from Miami — along with South Florida Democrats, including U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, U.S. Rep. Frederica Wil...

25 years ago today I made my first trip to Haiti. It changed my life forever. We have not gotten to go recently but we still help with lots of projects there. We are always looking for donors to help with our projects so if would like to help with any of those we would be grateful. We are a 501(c)3 and send receipts for donations at the end of the year. Some of our projects are:

Feeding 16 elderly people at the Samaritan Center monthly ($300)

Supporting evangelism programs, buying Bibles & hymnals for newly baptized people

Helping relocate families that have to move because of the gangs. We are in the process of doing that now with a family.

Supplying monies for food for people who cannot work to support their family because of the gangs.

If you could help with any of these it would be greatly appreciated!

We are trying to help a family move from an area in Haiti where there are lots of gangs. We have found them a place to live in Cap-Hatien and have found the father a job. But they cannot come with anything because they have to come on the bus and if they bring anything it would be stolen from them. We worked with this guy for many years when we were in Haiti. Such a good Christian man! We want to help him get to a part of Haiti where he can work and support his family. They will need beds, clothes, household stuff and food initially. There are 3 of them. Their daughter is 17 years old. If you could help us get them to a safer place it would be much appreciated!! We are going to fund their place to stay but need help with the other things. Haitihelpers is a 501(c)3 so we can give you a receipt for donations. Thank you in advance!! Clenson, our adopted son, will purchase what they need.

At the Samaritan Center in Derac, Haiti, where we help monthly with food, they had no light for the evening hours. Haitihelpers bought them a solar light to use at night. This is where some of your donated monies go. They are so thankful for the food we provide for them. These elderly people have outlived their children.

Pray for Haiti!

Tomorrow is giving Tuesday. Praying that some will want to give to our Haiti projects. We can’t go there because of the unrest but we still sponsor projects there. We feed 14 elderly people monthly. This costs $300 a month. We support evangelism programs also. And there are some families we have to help with food when the need arises. And sometimes when the gangs move into neighborhoods we have to help people escape quickly. I anticipate with Haitians that are here getting sent back to Haiti that the needs this coming year will increase. Haitihelpers is a 501(c)3 and you will get a tax receipt at the beginning of the year. Thank you so much for any help you can give us!! 100% of donations go to the projects.

An urgent prayer request:

My friend in Haiti has written me that the gangs are trying to take her sister and cousin for “girlfriends” or rather to have to r**e. We are praying God’s protection over them all. Please pray that they will not be taken!!
