A profound blessing to spend time at Villanova University with Very Rev. Joseph L. Farrell, OSA, the 98th Prior General of the worldwide Augustinian Order, a role once held by Pope Leo XIV.

An honor to share Elora’s story, the mission inspired by her life, and the faith that continues to guide us. Especially meaningful was Father Joe’s blessing of Elora’s prayer cards, as her little light continues to reach hearts and homes through faith and love.

And a touch of childhood wonder, Eliska’s handmade “Pope Pumpkin the First,”- inspired by Pope Leo XIV!
Deeply grateful for Father Joe’s humility, warmth, and graciousness. May Elora’s legacy continue to draw hearts closer to Christ, one God Moment at a time. 💜

It was a privilege to honor Maria Middleton at her Sixth Anniversary Memorial Mass, celebrated by Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez.

Maria passed away at just 18 after a 20-month battle with DIPG - brainstem cancer.. Through it all, her extraordinary faith and unwavering trust in God became a powerful witness, one that continues today as her family takes the first steps toward a possible cause for canonization.

Archbishop Pérez spoke beautifully about Maria’s life and faith, even as a young child, and it was especially meaningful to spend some time with her mom, Susan.

Maria’s story holds a tender connection to Elora, not only through DIPG, but through two young girls whose love for God remained at the heart of their stories even during the unthinkable battles.

“Faith is like a ripple.” Maria’s words, and six years later, that ripple continues.“Think Hope.” An extraordinary legacy that continues to unfold. 🤍🦋

Now THAT’S what we call a home-field advantage.
💙💛⚽️ More than 300 families stopped by to play, laugh, claim a superhero Elora giraffe, drop a Plinko puck and learn why we’re advocating so hard for children with brain cancer. And throughout the night, we heard it again and again:

“I know someone who had DIPG.”
“Our family knows a child.”
“We lost someone to this.” Not so rare.

Thank you, Philadelphia Union, for giving us the space to do what we love most: bring people together, create joy and shine a light on children who deserve so much more.

We came to BE THE LIGHT and this community showed up BIG. 300+ families. Hundreds of conversations. One goal: KICK childhood cancer - Find a Cure for DIPG. ⚽️💛

“Danielle has encountered some little saints too… little Elora.” 🤍 Father Tyler Davis, spoke these words in the homily at his very first wedding, marrying Danielle and Patrick.

Danielle was Elora’s ICU nurse. Near the end of Elora’s life, as Danielle left one night, Elora asked her to make the sign of the Cross on her steering wheel. In the parking garage, Danielle’s car wouldn’t start. She remembered Elora’s words, made the Cross, and it started.

This June, three years later, Danielle was a gorgeous bride, she still carried Elora with her. Her bracelet on her wrist, Elora devotional song tumbler in her hand, and her picture among those she honored from Heaven on her wedding day.

Fr. Davis who had never met Elora understood, with divine wisdom, exactly what this “little saint” had asked of Danielle. He called the Cross her “parting gift” and told her to place that little sign of the Cross on everything she touches. Patrick, their family, everything the flows from here on and every life they touch.

Elora gave her nurse the Cross. Danielle carried Elora with her. And three years later, that Cross followed a gorgeous bride all the way to the altar through Godly wisdom of a young priest.

“And a little child shall lead them.” Isaiah 11:6 💙✝️

So incredibly grateful to the Lynam family. 💙⛳️
Following Chas Lynam’s outstanding achievement at the Over the Hill Invitational golf tournament, he had the opportunity to choose a charity to receive an extraordinarily generous gift, and he chose Elora’s circle of love.
This gift will help us create “God Moments” where miracles and hope are needed most. So many tiny hearts will be grateful.💙
What a beautiful way to turn an achievement into a blessing that will reach far beyond the golf course. May his every swing of generosity find its way to where God needs it most. 🙏⛳️

NFL player Devon Still has held some impressive titles, but his greatest & proudest will always be Leah’s dad.
After standing beside her through stage IV neuroblastoma, Devon became a relentless advocate for childhood cancer and a cheerleader for thousands of kids still fighting.
In his words, his work for childhood cancer is bigger than any Super Bowl.
Because even the biggest stages in the world become very small when your child is fighting for their life.
Faith carried them through. Leah beat cancer. And today, this powerful daddy-daughter team continues to be a strong & loud voice for the thousands of kids still waiting for a cure.

To know Sophie is to love her, with a whole lotta sass. 💗 Diagnosed with brain tumor at just 8 months old, Sophie Ryan has endured 13 surgeries, seven on her brain, countless treatments and more than any child ever should. Yet she is pure light. Funny, fierce, sassy and completely unforgettable.

She prefers “Hey Sis,” loves her pink Elora bracelet, makes sure everyone knows who’s in charge, and informed YUNGBLUD that he is her boyfriend. 😂💜 And then she asked to record a video with Elora’s picture and called her “sister in heaven.” 🩷 🥺
Sophie Ryan, you are an absolute superstar. Keep shining, Sis. You carry the warmth of the sun and enough sass to light up every room. ☀️💜

The Elora J. Khan Foundation was at the National Cancer Institute for the Childhood Cancer Data Initiative Symposium because we believe in funding research and data collaboration that can accelerate discoveries for children with cancer.

Gave Dr. Jack Shern, Scientific Director of NCI’s Childhood Cancer Data Initiative and Senior Investigator in NCI’s Pediatric Oncology Branch, Elora’s pen. Elora wanted to be a brain surgeon and a fashion designer because, in her world, you never had to choose between brilliance and beauty.

She never got the chance to become the doctor she dreamed of being. So I gave Dr. Shern her pen with one request: use it to sign some of the important work still ahead for children, work shaped by children whose lives ended far too soon, but whose legacies continue to move science forward.

Once, she dressed up as Dr. Elora. Today, her pen is at the National Cancer Institute writing future for kids. Dr. Elora is counting on you, Dr. Shern. 💜
