Four Years Later… His Legacy Lives On. 💙🖤

“On July 28, 2022, at exactly 7:03 a.m., I was awakened by a phone call from Jéan, which would be our last. He told me a female officer had been shot in the head the night before and that several of his team members were struggling with the tragedy. ‘I need your help with them,’ he said. We ended that conversation with words that now echo through eternity: ‘I love you, and we’ll talk more when I get home.’ He never made it home.”

Coming January 2027

Today, we honor the memory of our founder’s late husband, Lt. Jéan-Harold Astree, whose life was defined by service, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to others.

Although it has been four years since we lost him, he has never been forgotten. His legacy continues to live through the mission of Married 2 The Badge.

Every peer support conversation, every family we encourage, every donation received, every Mission-In-Action trip, every Bible study, and every conference, retreat, or workshop reflects the heart of a man who believed in caring for those who serve.

Ironically, Jéan’s final request was not for himself—it was for the well-being of his fellow officers.

Today, we continue answering that call.

Thank you to every volunteer, donor, partner, and supporter who helps us carry his legacy forward. Because of you, lives are being strengthened, hope is being restored, and those who dedicate their lives to serving others are reminded that they are not alone.

At Married 2 The Badge, we are always looking for ways to pour into women, right where they are.
