This past weekend was busy for our folks. Residents and participants were celebrating, dancing, and watching the Nats beat the Mariners in a 3-game series! Smiles all around for all. Think back on the last time you were proud of yourself. What was it that made you feel that way? Did you find a new job, complete a tough project at work, or accomplish a milestone? The same moments you’re thinking of are achieved every day at Langley. This past year, Langley individuals have surpassed many milestones, such as starting a new job, learning important skills like seatbelt safety, developing loving relationships, and getting healthier. These are examples of the caring and dependable support Langley provides to those we serve. What we do is made possible by the generosity of our community, including you. On Wednesday, Langley leadership attended Leadership Fairfax, Inc.'s 2026 class graduation ceremony. Two Langley leaders participated in two cohorts this year. We're so proud of our two graduates - Emily Hincher-Qadir and Melissa Smarr!

Emily Hincher-Qadir, Langley's Development & Communications Manager, graduated from the Empowering Leaders Institute, and Melissa Smarr, Langley's Secretary, graduated from the Inclusive Leaders Institute. We're excited to watch them apply what they learned through each program to further our mission.
