What a special moment for this group of kids!

Congratulations to our 5th-8th grade team for winning the championship in one of the three divisions of the Southern Illinois Middle School Soccer League! This was a well deserved win for every single player that showed up day after day, worked hard, believed in each other, and never gave up.

Last year, the team suffered a heartbreaking loss to Anna in the championship game and had to settle for second place.

Last night; under the rain and against a very tough Pinckneyville team, these kids battled with heart from beginning to end and earned the championship they worked so hard for all season long.

Unfortunately, not all of the players were able to be there, but they are just as important to this team and played a huge role in helping the team reach this moment.

So proud of these players, coaches, and families that stood behind them all season. Moments like this are about more than trophies, they are about perseverance, teamwork, growth, and believing that hard work pays off.

🏆 Congratulations to our JCYL 3/4 grade team on bringing home 1st Place at this weekend’s tournament in Cape!

This group went undefeated all weekend, scoring an impressive 14 goals while only allowing 3! What an incredible accomplishment and a well deserved championship for these players, coaches, and the amazing parents that continue to support their kids every step of the way.

Keep working hard and representing JCYL the right way! 🥇

Good luck to all of our young players as they compete and represent our community. We are proud of the hard work and dedication these kids continue to show every day!

Coming to the volleyball tournament this Saturday at VHS? Well come hungry.

We will be serving CHICK FIL A and pizza for the morning/early afternoon tournament and BBQ NACHOS and sandwiches for the evening tournament.
