Times, they are a-changin'.

After a lengthy discussion amongst the board over the holidays, the NOCF has decided to close our doors. We are grateful to the hundreds of artists that we have partnered with over the years. It has been our great honor to highlight and showcase the talent and generosity of the artists since our inception over a decade ago. With the help of the artists and the absolutely amazing worldwide hobby community, we have raised more than $885,000 dollars for various charities. We showed the world what is possible with our hobby and have been excited to see the flourishing of new charitable causes. We look forward to seeing what the next generation of charities can bring to the table to help those less fortunate than ourselves.

This army will be the talk of any tournament you attend. Marc attended Gamescon in Edmonton, Alberta during the Play on Tabletop narrative tournament. This army won Favorite Army out of the 100 armies present at the event and the team at Play on Tabletop were so impressed by the creativity and attention to detail that they invited Marc to participate in one of their great 40k in 40 Minutes segments, which will air next month.

Tomorrow is launch day! There are so many things to love about this incredible army from Marc Pesant , but these models are the brilliant centerpieces of this labor of love. The snowspeeder Marc has converted will play as a shock jump dragsta. The AT-AT, which has been wired with lights and sounds by Jameson Dundas represents a battle wagon. Finally, the centerpiece of this beautifully creative army is the Rancor which will serve as the army’s Stompa. Just like the AT-AT this bad boy will be wired for lights and sound to enhance the play experience! The Rancor comes with a remote control to bellow out the roar and inspire your boyz and grots to WAAAAAAAAGH even better on the table top.

The attention to detail for Marc’s army is insane. He has put love into the lowliest grot and ork boy. Check out these models! The stormtrooper and Imperial grots are fantastic.

The raffle for this 2000-point Ork WAAAAGH is set to go live on September 21st and run until mid-November.

We asked Marc why he chose the Orks for his army and this was his response: “I considered which 40k armies might easily lend themselves to a creative theme enhancement and immediately Orks came to mind. They are terrible at shooting but can be strong and overwhelm people in numbers . . . just like the Empire in Star Wars! Thus “The Star Waaaaagh” was born. This army is a perfectly unique crossover of Star Wars with Warhammer 40k. All those involved with the project are confident the winner will be blown away by the quality and the attention to detail that has been put into it. The more tickets you buy, the more chances you have to be that winner. “

Next up we have this fantastic conversion/concept Ghazghkull Mando Thraka. Marc and a close friend of his Jameson Dundas designed this brilliant conversion. Of course it gives a nod to everyone’s favorite Mandolorian, but they have retained the comical feel of the old school Ork armies with this hulking mechanical beast riding a wide eyed taun-taun who looks ready to collapse on the weight of its rider.

The raffle for this 2000-point Ork WAAAAGH is set to go live on September 21st and run until mid-November.

Hello all you fantastic people! The NOCF is back again, and we have some amazing raffles planned over the next several months to close out the year. Starting next week there will are honored to raffle off this absolutely AMAZING army from Marc Pesant. Behold, the Star WAAAAAAGH! He enlisted the help of his close friend Jameson Dundas and with the assistance of a number of artists including , and on Instagram, Marc has heavily converted this Ork army to a Star Wars Empire theme with special decals and unique models which has taken over 1000 hours to design, print, build, paint and wire over an 8 month period. The amount of detail and thoughtfulness in this is one of the best we have ever seen in 10+ years of running these raffles. Stay tuned for some sneak peeks in the coming days, but here is a sample of what’s to come: Darth Orkus and his lord The Emporah, which will play as a Warboss and Weird Boy respectively.

The July raffles are completed! Thank you to everyone who bought raffle tickets to support our artists this month. With your generous support, we raised $3,500 this month to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Doctors Without Borders, and Fisher House Foundation.

Congratulations to our winners this month. Andrew Trainor was the lucky winner of the Necron army from the Kowalski Brothers and Colby Sullins won the terrain knight from Dave Taylor.

Who are these three amazing brothers from Germany that have painted this huge 3,000 point Necron army? We’ll introduce them to you this week and give you glimpses into the massive army they have put together with the help of Taschengelddieb and Epic Basing.

Last year we were contacted by Sebastian Kowalski about the possibility of raffling off this project. He is the point of contact for us and while he doesn’t have an online presence, he has been integral in bringing the army to life and getting the models to us.

Sebastian, along with his brothers Florian and Julian were originally drawn to Warhammer’s Age of Sigmar. While they each shared a love for the hobby, each took their own path. Sebastian was attracted to the “Grimdark style” and this army reflects that, heavily influenced and inspired by Zatcaskagoon’s grimdark Necrons. The brothers obtained the models generously donated by Taschengelddieb with basing bits from Epic Basing.

With experience gained from painting previous armies, these three artists set the goal of assembling and painting this army over the course of a single weekend! With determination and the help of their airbrushes and utilizing grimdark techniques, they were able to accomplish this task. We are honored to raffle off an army of this size and quality. It is not often that an army of this caliber comes our way! 3,000 points offers the winner flexibility that is nearly unlimited as you will see in the coming days.

What is more amazing is the generosity of the three brothers to put this out to the public to support Doctors Without Borders. Their work is renown worldwide, but it is their impact in the ongoing attack launched by Russia on Ukraine that inspired them to create this and support those affected by the war. The July raffles are off to a great start, but we have some unfinished business as we close the books on the June raffles from Marko Scherlock, Daniel Leifer, and the team at Chest of Colors. We their generosity and your kindness we have raised $3,500 for Doctors Without Borders, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and Fisher House Foundation. Congratulations to Trevor Brown on winning the fantastic World Eaters army and to Alexander Jivov for nabbing the beautiful set of goblin pirates from Chest of Colors!

We are always humbled by the gaming and hobby community’s generosity. We know there are lots of ways to spend your hard earned money and we are deeply grateful to each of you who chose to purchase tickets to support these artists and these three charities.

We are down to the last couple of days for the June raffles. If you haven’t been see the amazing army created by Marko Scherlock and Daniel Liefer head over there now. Daniel has done a beautiful job on these World Eaters. The vehicles and infantry are fantastic, but lets not forget about the big boys as well! This army includes a Heldrake, a Forgefiend, a Helbrute, and the massive Kytan Ravager that will no doubt look imposing on the gaming table sowing destruction of your opponents’ forces. Just like the other models, these beasts have varying degrees of conversion work on them, making the models unique additions to the World Eaters army.
