In the United States, 1 in 4 students struggles to afford period supplies. Without access to pads or tampons, students may miss class, leave school early, or have difficulty concentrating.

Each school year, BRAWS provides period products and new undergarments to more than 40 LOCAL SCHOOLS, helping students stay in class and fully participate in their education.

Earlier this month, something beautiful happened on the sidelines of a soccer tournament.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of the **Fairfax Women’s Soccer Association** and the leadership of our longtime friend and supporter **Wanda Rixon**, players, families, and volunteers came together to collect bras and menstrual products for women and girls in our community.

For years, FWSA has stood beside BRAWS, believing that every woman and girl deserves access to the basic essentials that help them live with dignity. Their continued support reminds us that when a community comes together, compassion becomes action.

We were also deeply touched that several members of the FWSA community chose to make financial gifts through our Virtual Collection Drive. Those donations help us fill the gaps, purchase the items most urgently needed, and ensure that no one has to go without.

To Wanda, the Fairfax Women’s Soccer Association, and every person who donated, collected, or gave we want to say thank you! Your generosity reaches far beyond the tournament fields. It reaches women and girls who will feel seen, supported, and cared for because of you. 💜

A heartfelt thank you to the Potomac Health Foundation for once again investing in the mission of BRAWS through a generous grant. As a long-time supporter, their continued partnership allows us to provide essential bras, underwear, and menstrual supplies to women and girls in **Eastern Prince William County and Southeast Fairfax County**.

💜 When a company makes service part of its culture, the impact reaches far beyond the workplace.

We are incredibly grateful to the team from Pinkston for choosing BRAWS as one of the projects for their company-wide Service Day on June 18.

The Pinkston team joined us at The Lamb Center to help distribute bras and new underwear to community members, bringing energy, compassion, and a willingness to serve wherever needed. In addition to volunteering their time, Pinkston also purchased and donated new underwear for the distribution, helping us provide even more essential items to those we serve.

A special thank you as well to longtime BRAWS volunteer Joyce, whose dedication and generosity continue to make a difference in our community.

We’re especially grateful for partners like Pinkston, whose commitment to service extends beyond a single day.
