💜 Small acts of generosity can create a lasting impact.

BRAWS is deeply grateful to the Nora Roberts Foundation for its generous $5,000 grant in support of our mission to provide period supplies and new undergarments to women and girls throughout Northern Virginia.

This funding will help ensure that individuals facing financial hardship have access to essential items that support health, dignity, confidence, and daily well-being. While these necessities are often overlooked, their impact is profound.

We are honored to partner with organizations like the Nora Roberts Foundation that recognize the importance of menstrual equity and believe that everyone deserves access to basic necessities.

Because chances are, there’s a woman or girl in your life that you care deeply about.

A daughter. A wife. A sister. A mother. A friend.

At BRAWS, we know that access to period products and basic necessities isn’t just a women’s issue—it’s a community issue. When women and girls have the resources they need, they can focus on school, work, health, and the opportunities that help them thrive.

This Father’s Day, we’re grateful for the dads, grandfathers, brothers, husbands, mentors, and father figures who show up, speak up, and support the women and girls in their lives—not just today, but every day.

Today, we recognize Juneteenth- a day that honors freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of dignity and opportunity for all.

At BRAWS, we believe that access to basic necessities is fundamental to health, confidence, and the ability to thrive. As we reflect on the significance of this day, we are reminded of the importance of building communities where every person has the resources and support they need to reach their full potential.

Juneteenth is an opportunity to celebrate progress, honor perseverance, and recommit ourselves to creating a future where barriers to health, dignity, and opportunity continue to be removed.

We are grateful for the advocates, partners, volunteers, and supporters who help make that vision possible every day.

📢 BRAWS is Growing and We’re Hiring!
As demand for our services continues to increase, BRAWS is excited to announce that our Executive Director position is transitioning from part-time to full-time. We’re looking for a passionate, community-minded leader to help guide BRAWS into its next chapter.
✨ Ideal candidates will have:
• 3–5 years of nonprofit, program, development, or community leadership experience
• Fundraising and donor engagement experience
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A passion for women’s health, dignity, and menstrual equity
• A hands-on, collaborative leadership style
This full-time hybrid position is based in Vienna, VA and offers a unique opportunity to lead a growing organization while making a direct impact in the lives of women and girls throughout our community.
