Our veterans and domestic violence survivors are pillars in this community and currently, they are in need of a helping hand during this difficult time of transition. We offer hope, stability, and a “piece of the American Dream” through homeownership.

Studies show that owning a home provides many psychological and emotional benefits, and these benefits are precisely what drives us and how Urban Revitalization Group came to be. Of course, everyone needs a safe place to call home, but what we saw in the communities of Georgia was an opportunity to help significantly underrepresented individuals and families that need it the most.

Urban Revitalization Group is helping victims of domestic violence and Veterans of the United States Army by lending a helping hand and giving them a place they can call home.

VIDALIA, Ga. (WTOC) – The City of Vidalia and the Urban Revitalization Group have been revitalizing parts of town that had been dilapidated for years. In the beginning, it involved six homes on one city block. Now, they are on track to do 11 homes for first-time homeowners.

We feel that the veterans and survivors that our housing programs assist are pillars in the community in need of assistance during a difficult time. We are committed to the greater good and realize that for true change to happen, we need a collective force working together for the common goal of community building and revitalization. Urban Revitalization Group came to be when our founders took notice of two significantly underserved populations: American Veterans and Survivors of Domestic Abuse. It goes without saying that both of these groups survive hardship and can sometimes fall through the cracks when it comes to attaining and affording a home for themselves and their families.
