Many people have been asking and we are now confirming.

Women of Noble Character will be closing our doors as of July 1st, 2026. For 16 1/2 years we have been blessed to assist the unhoused population and families in need in the High Desert through our A Meal A Day Coalition as well as our Show Your Hearts, Not Your Body Parts program for teenage girls.
Though we are sad to be closing our doors, we know that doors closing always lead to new doors opening and are looking forward to whatever Yahweh (God) has next.
We want to thank the many volunteers that have graced our doorstep, all the non-profits that have partnered with us over the years and all those that have donated and given of their time, money and selves to this ministry.

Thanks to members of United in Christ Baptust Church in Apple Valley, who have faithfully come out every 4th Monday for several years to serve a hot meal at our shower program, we were blessed with enough delicious 😋 bbq dinners to not only feed those we serviced but to also share at Desert Haven🥰♥️🥰🙏🏼🙏🏼

We are so grateful for our partnership with Feeding America, which extends into partnerships with Food 4 Less and Sprouts, because not only does it allow us to service the unhoused that come to our doors but we are also able to share our excess produce and bakery items with those that are temporarily housed @ Desert Haven (formerly the old Queens Motel).

Thank you to all who donated for Giving Tuesday and enabled us to give out over 30 backpacks full of food during our holiday closure along with sleeping bags, warming kits and hats and gloves.
With the storms that we faced during the holidays, it was a blessing to be able to provide them with some comfort.

Day 2 of the Fast: "Forgive Me, Lord"

1 John 1

The Incarnation of the Word of Life
1. That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. 2. The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. 3. We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. 4. We write this to make our joy complete.

Light and Darkness, Sin and Forgiveness
5. This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 6. If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. 7. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

8. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.

Thanks to our partners, Feeding America and Stater Bros., we were able to bless 25 families with turkeys and $20 gift cards❤️.
We were also, thanks to the help of our volunteers, able to provide our unhoused neighbors with a turkey dinner with all the trimmings 🦃🫶🏾🙏🏼🙌🏽
