We're excited to share some wonderful news! 📚

The Friends of the Victorville Library recently received a generous $500 donation from the Kiwanis Club of Victorville to help support a brand new Little Free Library in our community.

We also had the pleasure of joining the Kiwanis Club for lunch, where we learned more about the many incredible programs they support throughout our region. It was inspiring to see how dedicated they are to making a positive impact in our community.

Stay tuned as we share more details about where this Little Free Library will be installed!

A big thank you to the Victorville Kiwanis for their generosity. Together, we're helping children and families across our region discover the joy of reading, spark curiosity and imagination, and fall in love with books.

We’ve been enjoying our new home at the Victorville Library and seeing so many wonderful members of our community — families, children, staff, and volunteers — enjoying the space together.

If you are new here...the Friends of the Victorville Library is a nonprofit that supports the library through fundraising and volunteerism. Our contributions have included donating new computers for the computer lab, purchasing books and DVDs, and supporting Summer Reading and other library programs.

We also accept book and item donations (up to two small boxes per day).
Please note: we cannot accept textbooks or encyclopedias.

A Seuss-tastic Celebration at the Library! 📚🎩

Last week on March 2, the Victorville Library was full of smiles, creativity, and a little bit of Seussian fun as we celebrated Dr. Seuss’s birthday!

Families joined us for Dr. Seuss–themed crafts, games, and goodies, bringing some of our favorite stories to life in a colorful and playful way. It was wonderful to see the community come together to celebrate reading and creativity.

Events like this happen throughout the year at the Victorville Library, and the Friends of the Victorville Library love sharing these moments with our community. Be sure to follow along with us as we continue to highlight activities and let you know what exciting things you can expect at the library.

The Friends of the Library were thrilled to spend the afternoon celebrating at the New Victorville City Library Ribbon Cutting! 🎀📚

This beautiful new library is truly a dream brought to life by so many dedicated executive leaders and staff members—each sharing a vision for a space fueled by curiosity, creativity, and community. We are incredibly proud of our local library and all the work that went into making this milestone possible.

We can’t wait for the doors to be fully open and welcoming the public—and that’s coming up real soon, so stay tuned! 🙌

The Friends of the Victorville Library recently enjoyed a meet-and-greet lunch with our amazing Library Staff—taking time to get to know one another, share stories, and chat about the exciting upcoming Grand Opening of the Victorville Library’s new location!

Moments like these remind us just how special our library truly is—from the dedicated staff who bring it to life, to the community that supports it, and of course, to the timeless beauty of books themselves. We can’t wait for what’s next!

We are excited to announce that Victorville resident Vanessa M. Gomez has been selected by the Artist Selection Committee to paint a book-shaped bench that will be installed outside the new Victorville Library. The Friends of the Victorville Library donated the bench and the artist's stipend. Ms. Gomez' beautiful vision is entitled "Inspiration and Wisdom." Stay tuned for a description of Ms. Gomez' vision.
