Up for adoption is one of our sweet fosters, Kamere ( Klaus )!

Kamere was saved from the Devore Animal shelter in San Bernadino, CA in February 2026 with the help of Iron Paw Rescue. Like so many others, Kamere was about to lose his life. Through no fault of his own, there was simply no more space left for him, more dogs were coming in and he would be euthanized for space. He is the happiest go luckiest dog I have ever fostered; just in love with being alive!
He is approximately 4 years old, weighs 73 pounds, has all his current vaccinations, is in excellent health, is neutered & looks like a sable-colored german shepherd, with a little bit of Siberian husky, a super sweet Shepski!

Kamere currently has free roam of the house w/ use of the doggie door. He is also very tolerant of occasional crate use, as well as overnight. Kamere currently lives happily & peacefully with TWO CATS & TWO female GERMAN SHEPHERDS! Yes, Kamere is that easy going! Kamere loves kids, too. Kamere walks well on the leash with other dogs alongside. Kamere is enthusiastic about meeting other dogs outside of the two he lives with, and he is friendly upon greeting. He loves to play and loves soft toys as well as chew toys.  His off leash recall is not immediate, but he does NOT want to left behind, so he IS going with the pack and will run to catch up if he did not come running immediately when called. He is NOT an escape artist or a “runner”. He is a quick learner, he is treat motivated (not food aggressive) and is eager to please.

What this handsome fella Kamere needs:
Kamere needs a safe, loving home where he can get lots of love, continued training and also be taken on adventures. He is really good boy with a lot of exuberance. He is still learning his manners in terms of pushing his way through to be first in line, first in the car, first out the door, first to get treats and he is a total love bomber- even competes with cats for attention! Kamere’s new home hopefully has another dog to keep him company when the human is away, but he will also outbid the other dog for the love!

The fun never stops … we just rescued this beautiful gal from a cemetery, and she’s approx 5 weeks pregnant.

Kismet is a young blonde shep/mal mix, and we are looking for a long term foster that can give her the quiet time she needs, and be able to raise her pups safely until they can all be adopted. Foster duration will realistically be every bit of 6 months, so please keep that in mind when inquiring.

EMERGENCY FOSTER NEEDED

Sarge was found completely emaciated and we need to find a long term foster until he can be adopted out. Despite being on the streets for god only knows, he is still extremely affectionate and knows basic commands!

He was put on dewormer yesterday and will be groomed this afternoon. Food and necessities will be provided, and local transport is available.

Sarge appears to be roughly 6 years old, and looks to be a Sable Shepherd? Hard to tell with how skinny he is… regardless, Please let us know asap!

DUSTY!

We all know who this handsome boy from Devore is, and with the collaboration between and her team, we’ve been able to help give Dusty a second chance at life!

He is currently with a temp foster for approximately 2 weeks, then will be with a long term foster until he can be safely adopted out.

Wanted to post an update on our boy, River! He’s brushed out and looking way better, but I haven’t been able to get him groomed yet. I got pretty sick from our late night swim, but he’s coming out of his shell and is a total sweetheart.

I ordered some panacure for him to run through his system, and we’ll be fattening this boy up in no time!

We’ll have a wishlist published for him soon, and we’ll post another update later this week!

Huge thanks again to everyone involved while onsite, and even afar. We all played a role in his rescue and I am forever grateful to be a part of this world for moments, just like this 💙

William from Devore ( now Remi )

Remi is looking for a forever home and is currently in the Seattle, WA area. He is a 80lb Belgian Mal/Shepherd mix, and is approx 3 years old.

Below are notes from his awesome foster parents!

- 100% a love bug and has all attention on you at all times
- very very quick to learn and determined, if you want him to get something done he absolutely will find a way to do it
- super strong and active
- one minute he can be sprinting through the fields but the next he’s ready to be the biggest cuddle buddy
- gets along well with other dogs
- fully house trained!

Lady ( Roma ) from Seaaca Update:

When sweet lady was pulled from Seaaca, we knew most likely she was in her final days and made arrangements accordingly. She was transported by one of our dearest friends, with a soft bed of blankets and pillows he made for her, so she could travel comfortably. At first she had no appetite, but hand feeding her encouraged her to eat.

A couple days later, she was taken to the vet where he confirmed she had a cancerous mass on her hip and a respiratory infection. She started meds for the respiratory infection, and the vet said at that point she was not in pain. 6 days later, her forever foster was ready to welcome her home. She was brought to a lovely Oceanside home that was set up so she could relax and rest with 2 doting humans, and their child to love on her and a new big brother pup looking out for her. Within the 5 days she was there she started declining quickly. She knew she was safe and loved. They took her to the vet Friday when her breathing became labored, and were told it was time. We told the vets office her situation and they were all so moved, the entire staff went in with the Foster’s when it was time to be with them during her journey into the next life. Her new family brought her favorite foods and blankets in case it was time. They brought all of the items into the room and set up a lovely space for her. The Foster and staff then surrounded her, all petting her, telling her they loved her, and how special she was. That is how she passed, wrapped in warm blankets and surrounded with love and kindness. Lady made her mark and will be ever remembered for her kind and loving demeanor despite the ugly world around her. She never had a grumpy moment and just wanted to love and be loved. She is being cremated and brought home here to the rescue for her final resting place. We all feel so honored to have been a part of her story.

Rest peacefully Lady, you are deeply loved and truly missed.

Paxton was at Devore for nearly 4 months, before he was finally saved. He was on our radar for a while and we finally found someone to take him in, and he was recently adopted by Darren out in Oregon! Paxton ( now Cooper ) is thriving, and living happily with his older sibling and we couldn’t be happier for him.

Cooper is one of many dogs that wouldn’t have gotten a second chance, without the amazing networking and volunteer efforts by our dearest friends, and my amazing better half.
