💙DISTRIBUTION DAY💙

What began with a $1,000 H-E-B grant has now made its way into the hands of local foster and kinship families.

Through our partnership with The Vault Foster Community and SJRC Texas-Belong, Pain to Purpose was able to provide families with laundry baskets filled with detergent and cleaning supplies — simple, practical items that can make a real difference.

We are so thankful to everyone who helped make this possible.

From shopping carts… to laundry baskets! 🧺💙

Our team came together to sort, organize and prepare laundry baskets filled with detergent and cleaning supplies for local foster and kinship families.

Thanks again to the incredible generosity of H-E-B and their $1,000 grant, we were able to purchase the supplies needed to fill these baskets and provide a little extra support to families caring for children in our community. Your generosity is going directly into the hands of families who need it most.

Also huge thank you to C3 Victory Church for hosting us!!

And we’re not quite done yet…💙

Their shopping list? Laundry detergent, cleaning supplies and other basic household necessities that foster and kinship families need.

And as you can see… they took that mission seriously! 😂

Every bottle, every package and every laundry basket represents a little help for a family who is opening their home and their heart to a child.

I can not speak highly enough about this academy! The speakers, knowledge and friendships made are well worth the time and money invested.

📣 Five spots are still available for the 2026–2027 Nonprofit Leadership Academy!

Our new cohort begins September 2nd, (just THREE weeks from today!) and we have room for a few more current and emerging nonprofit leaders, including board members, to join us for this 9-month professional development experience

We meet in person on the Texas A&M University-Victoria campus one day each month to dig into the topics nonprofit leaders deal with every day, including leadership, strategic planning, fundraising, program development, communications, team development, data and performance, and financial management.

But the Academy is about more than training. It’s also an opportunity to build relationships with other nonprofit leaders from across our region, learn from one another, and spend dedicated time working on your own leadership and organization.

If you’ve been thinking about applying, this is your chance! Applications for the remaining five spots are being accepted now.

Nikki Barnes an investigator with DFPS Victoria received 30 bags today.

Each bag contains towels - a bath towel, hand towel and two wash cloths. Plus a toiletry bag filled with all the necessities a child might need in their new location. The toiletry bag will contain shampoo & conditioner, body wash, toothbrush & toothpaste, deodorant, hair brush & comb, plus so much more depending on the age group. This not only helps the child in their new environment but also helps the foster parents who would otherwise have to provide these things.

We want the children to be moved with dignity and compassion and that they feel someone loves them.

Home of Joseph Foundation received 6 bags for the children in their home.
