The Crossroads Guardians of Hope is proud to announce a new captain at the helm of its mission.
Ryley Purcell has been appointed as the organization’s new Executive Director, ushering in a new chapter of service, strength, and support for cancer patients across the Crossroads region.
Ryley brings a unique blend of leadership and community-focused grit to the role. As
the current Fire Chief of the Raisin Volunteer Fire Department, he is no stranger to the siren’s
call of service. His experience leading first responders aligns perfectly with the Guardians’ iconic "Pink Fleet" emergency vehicles that serve as symbols of hope and victory for local
survivors, and family members of the one’s that have lost the fight.
In addition to his life-saving work in the fire service, Ryley is a proven local entrepreneur. As the owner of One R Lawn and Ranch Services, a local landscaping and land maintenance
company, he understands the importance of tending to the roots of a community to help it
flourish.
“Our mission has always been about more than just transport; it’s about fueling the spirits of our
neighbors during their toughest fights,” said the Board of Directors. “Ryley’s deep ties to Victoria
and his dual background in public service and business management makes him the ideal leader to drive us forward. We are thrilled to have him leading the charge.” -Cody Bauman, President.
As the organization moves into this new era, the focus remains steadfast on the foundation built
by those who came before. The Guardians of Hope is committed to continuing the powerful
legacy established by the previous Board of Directors, ensuring that the signatures of survivors continue to grace the paint of their trucks for years to come.
“I am honored to step into this role and work alongside a community that cares so deeply for one another,” said Ryley Purcell. “The previous leadership built an incredible vehicle for hope, and I look forward to keeping that engine running strong as we support our neighbors in their journeys toward healing. I would like to say a special THANK YOU to Jay and Amber for everything they’ve done to make CGH what it is today!!”
