Our Teens Grounded youth leaders had an amazing time at "Nailing Down Success" at the Victoria College Emerging Technology Complex Industrial Training Center with Carpentry Instructor Dwayne Maly!
The students were fully engaged and excited as they explored hands-on career opportunities and learned about pathways to success. We're grateful for our partnership with Victoria College and Pirates Plugged In, which helps students see that whether they pursue a bachelor's degree, associate degree, certificate, or skilled trade, there are many roads to a bright future.
The possibilities are endless when opportunity meets exposure! 🔨✨

Today was Teens Grounded’s very first cooking class, Seasoned & Grounded, and it was a hit!
Who knew teaching a life skill to students could be so much fun? Watching our youth learn, laugh, and build confidence in the kitchen was truly rewarding.
A special thank you to Tabree and Amanda for stepping up to lead this small-group class and pour your time, talents, and patience into our students. Your willingness to serve helped make this experience both meaningful and memorable.
At Teens Grounded, we believe preparing young people for life goes beyond the classroom. Teaching practical skills like cooking empowers them to become more confident, independent, and grounded for the future.
We can't wait for the next class! ❤️🍽️

During Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we were honored to welcome Debbie Ramirez to share her incredible story of strength and perseverance. Her heartfelt message not only highlighted the warning signs of domestic violence but also underscored the importance of speaking up, seeking help, and supporting others. Students were locked in from beginning to end, especially as she shared the painful story of losing her mother to domestic violence. Her courage transformed personal tragedy into a powerful lesson of hope, awareness, and resilience. Thank you Debbie!!

What an incredible afternoon with our youth leaders! They jumped into games, mapped out their summer field trip plans, and set thoughtful personal, behavioral, and health goals. The energy, focus, and teamwork were everything.

Tonight felt so good. After a long summer break, being back in the room together reminded me exactly why this work matters. The energy, the laughter, the focus, the leadership—our students showed up ready. Ready to grow, ready to lead, ready to make this year something special.

Here’s to a powerful start and an even stronger season ahead. We’re back, and it feels amazing.

This program serves 6th-12th graders. There is no financial cost but will require a commitment of your time. We meet twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month at 6pm. We are currently accepting applications for the next cohort that is set to begin on August 16th, 2026.
