City of Victoria residents! It’s Election Day, your vote is your voice!

Along with elections your local firefighters will be at the Victoria County Health Dept collecting signatures for a petition to place Civil Service and Collective Bargaining on the ballot in the May 2025 ballot! We would appreciate your support and input.

Citizen of the City of Victoria please come and support your local firefighters as we work to gather signatures for our petition to place Collective Bargaining and Civil Service on the May 2025 ballot. For more information on what Civil Service and Collective Bargaining can do for your firefighters please visit them at the Victoria County Health Department.

We will be at early voting at Victoria County Health Department gathering signatures all week. Thank you all for the continued support that you have shown the Fire fighters of Victoria.

PSA!!

Really cool video! Pulling to the right for sirens and lights is possibly one of the best ways to help emergency responders. We see all sorts of wild tactics made by civilians while we respond. Of course we understand in our community we have several areas that now have medians, just be patient sometimes even fire trucks and ambulances have to wait for the traffic lights to cycle.

Question to the community. What are some of the things that are most important to you that the fire service does? This question is really pointed at our Victoria City or County residents although outside comments are always welcome. I’ll provide a few examples.

1. Respond to emergencies? Kind of a no brainer although what about responding to emergencies with adequate resources and firefighters

2. Professionalism

3. Knowledgeable and experience

4. How about well rested

5. Well maintained fire trucks and ambulances

6 community out reach and education

7. Timely response to emergencies

Just few ice breakers but I’d really like to hear what your thoughts are.
