The Community Foundation of Switzerland County would like to recognize several high school students in the Advanced Manufacturing Classes at SCHS who have dedicated their time this semester to design, budget and build six new dog houses for the Switzerland County Animal Shelter.

With funding provided by the Switzerland County Animals and Environment Fund at CFSCI, this project provided students with hands on experience and the opportunity to give back to our community. Shown here with SC Animal Shelter Manager, Heather Rieman, are students Casyn Peters, Brackston Sullivan, Noah Mangold and Dawson Baker. Special thank you to Wade Hughes for leading this project and to all of the students for a job well done!

Great job to ALL of the students that participated in this project, our community (and the dogs) appreciate you!

** CFSCI FLAG EXCHANGE PROGRAM **

CFSCI would like to remind local residents about the Switzerland County Flag Exchange program that is currently available in our community. With funding provided by Lilly Endowment, this Patriotic community project encourages Switzerland County residents to bring their old, worn-out American Flag to the Community Foundation office at 303 Ferry Street in Vevay and exchange it for a new, embroidered 3' x 5' American Flag.

CFSCI has a goal to exchange 50 American Flags between now and Memorial Day 2026! Please consider participating in this program today. (Please limit one flag exchange per household, per year)

Each Switzerland County resident who exchanges a flag will be given a brochure about flag etiquette created by local students. All exchanged flags will be given to American Legion Post 185 for proper flag retirement in June. Be sure to stop by and exchange your American Flag today!

For GOOD. For EVER. For SWITZERLAND COUNTY.

The Community Foundation of Switzerland County would like to thank SCHS Seniors, Peyton Richards and Austin Johns for presenting information about the FFA Community Garden at the 82nd Annual Meeting of the Switzerland County Soil and Water Conservation District.

Funded by CFSCI, the FFA Community Garden provided nearly 1400 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables in 2025 to the Switzerland County Food Pantry located at INcompass Healthcare. These students and their fellow FFA members recognize the need for these resources and are working hard to combat food insecurity in Switzerland County.

Launched in 2025, the CFSCI Live Well Switzerland County initiative aims to improve the overall and wellness of county residents. For more information on Live Well, visit our office at 303 Ferry Street in Vevay.
