General Butler State Park was a beautiful setting for presenting a Quilt of Valor to Charles K.
Charlie served in the US Army from 1955-1976. He was deployed to Vietnam in 1968 and was awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious achievement in ground operations against hostile forces in the Republic of Vietnam. After returning to the US he was Service Battery Commander of the Army National Guard in Louisville. He retired as a Captain in 1976. What a privilege it was to honor Charlie!

This evening we presented Quilts of Valor to two Vietnam-era veterans: Jim B US Marines and David M US Army. Thank you for your service Jim and David. It was an honor to recognize you.

This afternoon we awarded a Quilt of Valor to Vietnam veteran Larry S. Larry served in the Marine Corps from 1965-1970 and received three Purple Hearts. Thank you for your service Larry.
