It is with great sadness I share that we have lost another member of our bowling family, James Potenziano. Jim passed peacefully on May 28, 2026. He was a long-time member of the former Binghamton and Endicott Bowling Associations and the Southern Tier USBC. He was inducted into the Southern Tier USBC Hall of Fame in 1992. Jim will be dearly missed. Rest In Peace Jim! 🙏❤️

Scholarship money will be added to their USBC SMART accounts, and they will be honored at the ST-USBC Hall of Fame and Awards banquet at Midway Lanes on August 2nd.

If any of our High School Seniors are wondering if they should submit applications for our ST-USBC Scholarship program, remember SMART money is not just for college. It can be used for trade school as well. You have 8 days left to get your completed applications turned into the ST-USBC office.

Please make sure if you have money in SMART from tournaments or other bowling scholarships that you use it. Many youth bowlers forget that they have money in SMART that can be used for their further education needs.

Attention AGAIN - High School Seniors and parents.

Each year ST-USBC gives out scholarships to graduating seniors who are members of our association. This year we are giving out $1000 and $500 scholarships to 2 boys and 2 girls who fill out our scholarship applications.

You can find a link to the forms below. You must submit all 3 forms before the April 30th deadline to be considered. One of the forms must be done by your school guidance counselor and they are busy this time of year so get that done early.

So far we only have 1 incomplete application submitted. There are only 2 weeks left to submit your applications.

The Annual Membership Meeting of the Southern Tier USBC was held today at Midway Lanes. We had 12 members present representing the over 2200 members of the association.

The following were elected to positions on the board and as delegates.

In addition to elections, we also reviewed Finances, Tournaments, Youth Scholarships, Hall of Fame, Charity Fundraising, Membership and Awards.

The Southern Tier USBC Annual Meeting is April 4th!

All local bowlers are encouraged to attend. The purpose of this meeting is to elect candidates to the board and conduct any other business pertinent to running the association. The positions that will be up for election are as listed below.

It is with great sadness I share that we have lost another treasure of our bowling family, Barbara Rake. She passed peacefully on March 2, 2026. Barb was a long-time member of the former Binghamton-Johnson City-Endicott Women’s Bowling Association and the Southern Tier USBC and served on the Board of Directors of both associations for several years. She was inducted into the Southern Tier USBC Hall of Fame in 2006. She was also inducted into the New York State USBC and New York State Women’s 600 Club Halls of Fame. Barb will be dearly missed. Rest In Peace Barb! 🙏❤️💔
